I am waiting for my LGS to receive them, and I have reservations for ONE.
I am in total support when people buy them because they like the cards, but trying to buy an entire store's worth sounds like hoarding to me.
I bought three copies of Jace vs. Chandra, opened them ALL, and don't regret it a single bit. Why? Because they're filled with totally cool cards to play with -- new-bordered editions of Man-O-War and Wall of Deceit, and new-art Seal of Fire. Obviously liked the Counterspells, but they were by no means the only reason I bought them. Could I have saved one or two boxes, and sold them today for $60? Yes, but I'd rather play with the cards, because Magic is first and foremost a game, and meant to be played
That includes the Islands. Yes, even the Islands. I went there.
(on topic: looking forward to EvT!)
QFT!
Hoarding, greed, and skyrocketing prices will take it's toll on the game...
when it becomes about $ instead of fun, we lose...
man... this will be the first duel deck since I got back into the game that I haven't been able to pick up and enjoy on day 1...
I'll just have to postpone my fun until next week...
I think a lot of retailers are failing to see that the reason this DD is in such high demand is because of the price. When you jack the price up to 1.5 to 2x MSRP, it's no longer a good deal and will be far less coveted by consumers.
for sure...
I can go on ebay and buy all the cards in these decks for less than $40... lol
Looks like we are looking at $40 a pop at our LGS, and they are already talking about local shops going to wal-marts and targets to raid their stock...
yeah, but I hate actually spending money on Magic... lol
I like to trade...
not for greedy money grubbing reasons... just to have a set of tezzerets and elspeths...
I know they are generally weak, but I have fun taking a few copies of these decks and making them better...
Picked up 2 at target at msrp...

If anybody in Houston finds 'em, let me know... lol
i know... but I need an elspeth for tonight... lol
I just think it's underhanded to be a wizards sanctioned store and spit in the customer's face...
you know they buy these from distributors for like $12-14 each... greed is a nasty thing...
oh well, guess I'll run the deck without it... I won't bow down to line their pockets... lol
you can get elspeth for $23 on ebay, tezz for $8, $6 for 2 swords, $3 for a factory, $4 for the overseer...
Grand total $44... guess you are right...
but still... doubling MSRP is still freakin' wrong...

The greed around this thing is making me angry...
i like the retro feel...
especially on old red staples... bolt, ball lightning, etc...
same with llanowar elves... I love the old art... new art is arguably better, but doesn't have that feel like back in the day...
I always liked those old DCI foil lightning bolts... would be cool if the chain lightnings were like that... guess those days are gone though... lol
if it doesn't sell it will... and at that price, I doubt it'll be selling like hotcakes...
yeah... that's a lot for a bunch of burn spells in a pile... lol
Sliver deck was $35 msrp...
