Damn, I wish I had taken the CE set that was offered to me for $400 a few years ago.

All this does is add to their delusion that it's factual when it's completely not.

Let's be fair. If we expect writings about atheism and science to be in the nonfiction section, we can't really complain if the bible goes there as well. If you go down the path of 'whatever I think is incorrect can't go in the nonfiction section' what you have isn't intellectualism, or scientific thinking. What you have is authoritarian censorship, and supporting it is exactly the kind of behaviour that will validate the fears of the religious that atheists are arrogant and immoral.
Let there be competition over ideas. If atheism is the correct philosophy, then there shouldn't need be such censorship for people to follow it- it's superiority as a position should make it more convincing. And in the meantime, the debate brings up various interesting philosophical ideas by consequence for us all to think over.

The Bible belongs in the fiction section because there is no evidence for the extraordinary claims made by it.

And most theists would argue there is very much sufficient evidence to support it. Who gets to decide?
    That's authoritarian thinking.

Let me explain it this way. We know the White House exists. In the movie Independence Day, the White House is destroyed by aliens. Does that mean the movie is real because the White House is a real building? No, it doesn't.

Why? Apart from "I don't like religion," what reason would you have to modify the Dewey Decimal System in such a manner?

What reason do you have to believe that the Bible is a credible source?

I need to get a hold of some cash so I am ready to do what I have told others not to do- sell some high value Modern staples. I just don't play much right now and have not played anything other than casually in several months. I am wondering about the best way to do this as a person who has little to no history as a seller on both Ebay and TCG. I want to get much better than buy list, so that means I need to sell them directly. I have an ebay account, though it has been several years since I sold anything and don't have that many sales to begin with. Frankly I have been a little leery of using them due to fear of a charge back. I have never used TCG to sell cards, so there is no history to give potential buyers confidence that I am trustworthy and selling genuine product. To make things more complicated mine are authentic (I pulled all of them from sealed product), but these are all cards that I have seen in counterfeit lots (LotV, Verdant Catacombs, and Arid Mesa). I will probably end up getting well below TCG market price for them due to my lack of history, but as long as I get well above buy list I am fine with it.

So, anyone got some words of guidance?

EDIT: I gotta add EE to my sell pile now.

Try Facebook selling groups, but make sure you that you're selling below TCG Low and eBay BIN.

I like Relic of Progenitus more because it can be used as a cantrip, and exiling a card just from their graveyard is really good. I managed to keep my Grixis control opponent off of delving for Tasigur just by exiling a card each turn. With Rest in Peace you only get to use Snapcaster as an Ambush Viper, and if you draw Emrakul then you can never get it back AND you can't cheat it into play with Nahiri.

By the way guys I decided to take out Tamiyo and replace it with another Stony Silence.

That's actually not true. We just exile the RIP with Nahiri if we need to. It's not that big a deal. Also one of the most erroneous judgements that goes around the Jeskai thread is that RIP hurts Snapcaster (and that's somehow a big deal). As we've said many times, RIP only comes in against decks that it completely hoses. If you have out RIP against Dredge are you at all concerned that you can't snap back a bolt? The people that keep making these statements over and over should actually play with cards before they judge them. This kind of misinformation keeps spreading and it's hurting our Jeskai player base and making certain players massively misevaluate cards like Snapcaster, RIP and Relic, just to name a few.

I saw your exact same post about this a few pages ago, and I posted my opinion anyway because I disagreed. And just because you think it's not true doesn't mean I don't get to give my opinion when someone asked. You can't rely on drawing Nahiri every game. She may be a win condition but I have won plenty of games without her.

On Saturday, there was a Noxious Gearhulk, Sword of Light and Shadow, Chromatic Lantern, and one unknown masterpiece that the guy forgot which one he had, all he said was that he was able to get $60 credit for it. He pulled two that day. On Sunday someone opened a Sword of Fire and Ice and I opened an Aether Vial.

How do I beat Ad Nauseam? I decided to move a clique to the mainboard, move Tamiyo to the sideboard, and now I'm taking out Tamiyo for another Stony Silence. I just had spectacularly bad draws tonight and went 2-2. But anyway I didn't draw any counterspells first game, and game two he had a Boseiju which I didn't draw a single Ghost Quarter for. I spent a couple turns bouncing it with Cryptic Command. It was really irritating.

    Here's my current decklist:
    http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/08-09-16-AUk-uwr-nahiri/
I played in a modern tournament yesterday, went 3-1 but had a Dispel in place of the Elspeth which I just picked up today. I wanted to play Tamiyo mainboard since I saw a Nahiri deck place 9th at a GP with it and I figured that was as good as making top 8 but having bad tiebreakers, but when I actually started playing I ended up sideboarding it out most of the time. I think it would be better in the sideboard and play a Vendilion Clique mainboard in its place. Also do I really need an Arid Mesa? I don't have one yet but I originally had one in the decklist, but the Glacial Fortress has been fine. I think I will still buy one just to have the option.

brew # 1 - replace cards that are rotating out.

while i was thinking of replacements, the loss of Abbot of Keral Keep and Exquisite Firecraft hit me hard. Abbot was a great means to get back in the game when you're behind. the loss of Exquisite Firecraft potentially can be devastating, as the deck loses a mainboard way to deal with Gideon and other 4 loyalty walkers. just about as significantly, the only way to cleanly kill Kalitas and Archangel Avacyn mainboard post rotation will be Collective Defiance. also, Roast and Rending Volley will rotate out so the sideboard also got a bit worse against Kalitas and Avacyn repectively.

perhaps splashing another color is the key to more reliable removal and more variety of threats?

brew # 2 - because green is the best color in Standard.

i've been able to win games with no one drop creature in my opening hand with my RDW so this aggro deck that relies heavily on 2 CMC creatures may actually be viable. following the philosophy i developed recently - putting a total of 4 to 5 power threats on the board ASAP - this is a deck i would be happy to play if nothing oppressive *cough* Bant Coco *cough* pops up.

    *R/b brew to follow*

Borderland Marauder isn't standard legal. It was in M15 which hasn't been in standard for a while and Eternal Masters doesn't add cards to standard.

It's in the Welcome 2016 decks. As is Shivan Dragon, if anyone's feeling froggy.

Might want to adjust your tone if you want to be that wrong, in the future.

Edit: no need for me to be douchey, sorry. Leaving it so this edit's not confusing.

I see. The welcome deck version didn't appear on MTGS's site so I didn't know they existed.
