for some reason my wife relishes countering tutors. I think it is the look on the opponents face,

"you countered my tutor not what i am tutoring?"

"Yep, so don't shuffle your deck." (smile)

Yeah, so imagine how overpowered they would become if you did have control over their Transformation?

If they give me just one card that can continually allow me to Transform, then I will be happy with Werewolves.

i would be mildly suprised if we don't see something along these lines in DKA

If it needed to do that to survive, then no i don't think that would make the cow evil. Not arguing that they dont make awesome villains, just that the act of eating humans does not make someone evil.

I guess we shall have to agree to disagree, I don't think the twilight style vampires are particularly appealing, middle school girls I have worked with do but that is their perrogative. I prefer the dark, ,ancient evil trope. Either way, we both enjoy the game so happy new year and good gaming!

I don't see how eating humans makes them evil... I eat cows.. does that make me evil? And i don't even NEED to eat them.. but i, as well as billions of other humans CHOOSE to..

being higher up in the food chain does not make you evil...

If a cow began to slaughter and eat other cows would that fit your definition? Vampires are unnatural former humans that prey on us and have supernatural powers and that is what makes them such awesome villians.

I am not sure what your point is, they are now and feed on human blood.

Twilight crew attitude? It has been that way for a 200 years, since Polidori and Stoker. At least more of a focus on the sexy part than the killer part, or actually the combination of the two.

Dracula was not portrayed as the hero from my recollection and that is more what I was referring. to the sensual allure has always been integral to vamps yes and if anything these boy band vampires reduce that. My "issue" is with the current crop of "vampires are people too" groupies. They are vampires! They eat us!

while I can agree that there is room for malign intent in all colors, as well as honor and noble intentions, I get so tired of the twilight crew attitude of vampires as sexy heroes that aren't really blood sucking killers. They always have been such an excellent villian, my problem with them is when they print a 1/1 vamp, give me a break how is that the strength of ten men? More zombies (and human sychophants) that key off vamps and vice versa is the way those tribes should have been addressed not itty bitty bitey boys and girls

  • posted a message on Anyone miss the Kamigawa block?
I do, Urza's block pretty much sent me into semi-retirement and I did not return full scale until m10 so I do miss that era. I think there were some interesting mechanics that could have been implemented better like ninjitsu, bushido, and splice and I would not mind seeing them reworked in the future. Plus as a martial artiist I have a soft spot for Asian themes Smile

I love it and believe that I can support each and every measure on there. But then again, I am like the worst communist ever so...

But yeah, dead in the water, if Democrats found a way to end poverty forever and it required a .5% increase on taxes on those making more than a million dollars, Republicans still wouldn't go for it.

democrats don't want to end poverty, they want an entire class of citizens beholding to them so they can get that vote for the forseeable future

republicans don't want to end poverty, they want an entire class of citizens behoding to them so they can lower labor costs to maximize profits.

Poison sucked. DFCs aren't bad at all, in fact they add a new dynamic to limited games. Invisible Stalker is the mistake limited players should be mad for. Innistrad's a great set that has provided depth to limited and to a December meta... what's to hate?

I don't really have much of a comment to your post just wanted to show my appreciation for you siging my favorite song Wink

please do not confuse my statement about wal-mart as being supportive of what we locally refer to as "the evil empire"

    Quote from Qinobi
Planechase is a great addition to EDH games, especially if you want to add a random element to play. In our playgroup it can "balance" combo Decks and give some of the "weaker" budget EDH decks a chance to win. Recently I introduced the eternal Map to them but they didn't like it, a huge pile was prefered.

dito here, not that it was bad using the eternity map it jsut did not add the element we were looking for and we will be going back to the central pile most likely. I did introduce the two scheme max hand size for archenemy though and that was a big hit (only one scheme per turn can be played)

I wasn't being sarcastic. I will seriously buy Magic cards at Target, keep the rares, and then return the rest for a full refund if they let me. I hate Target, I think they are crap, and I wish Magic cards weren't for sale there because it cheapens the product. If I can screw Target for contributing to the over-dillution of my favorite game while at the same time demonstrating to Wizards why you shouldn't sell your precious product at a dump like Target then all the better.

    Screw Target.

yeah, wal-mart is way more upscale Rolleyes
