Wizards also stated in the past that they would never print random discard again and if I'm not mistaken a certain Hypnotic Specter was reprinted in Ninth Edition.
Not NEVER. They said they realized it wasn't fun for the players. The fun-ness of having Hippie back, they said, canceled that out.
EDIT: Yeah, I should probably comment on the actual topic...
I don't see why Wizards would put old cards in the precons anyway. It seems like a great excuse to get more FoW into circulation. That said, it would just be too cool of Wizards to do, so no.
While I don't claim to have a logical proof that God doesn't exist, I don't really see why everyone says such a proof is impossible. If the very idea of God is inconsistent, he would not exist. Theists rely on the argument that God exists outside the physical laws of the universe, so proving that he could not physically exist is not enough, but if such a being could not be self-consistent, then he does not exist.
Has anyone addressed Occam's Razor yet? Deism could be seen as literally "multiplying entities unnecessarily." If there is no logical reason that God must or even should exist, why consider the question at all?
I use Apprentice and MTGO on Virtual PC, it's a little slow but it works.
By far my favorite mac-apprentice is Mindless Automaton. It lets you play with people who use Apprentice for windows without any problems, and is a great interface. Sadly, it's a PAIN to install.
This is not originally mine but the source has long been lost. I wish they would sticky this thread or something cause the topic pops up once a month.

Ok, this is little difficult but it works fine and well.
You need several softwares and some skill using the Terminal and unix software in general, if you don't know what are you doing... try to get a friend who know something about it ->
-- step 1: tools --
Anyway, software needed:
1) X11 application and libraries, you can get them from the OS X 10.3 install cd/dvd, or from http://sourceforge.net/projects/xonx/ if you have OS X 10.2
2) Compiler and libraries, install ProjectBuilder (OS X 10.2) or XCode (OS X 10.3), you can get them from http://developer.apple.com/ (free registration required) or from the extra cd/dvd bundled with your mac
3) install Fink.app or the DarwinPorts, Fink is easier to use, more user-friendly and comes with a nice GUI also, I like darwin ports more but this is just my personal taste ->
4) setup everything (fink is fully automatic, darwinports need skill with enviroment variables and unix stuff)
5) open the Terminal and install the gtk2 libraries, this is done with one of the 2 software just installed:
using fink: "fink install gtk+2-dev"
using darwinports: "sudo port install gtk2"
Whatever you choose, this could take a wile.
6) unpack mindless sources (either double click on it or use the "tar" command)
7) "cd" to the newly created mindless directory and type "make"
-- step 3: running --
1) start X11 or XDarwin
2) using the X11 terminal (xterm) "cd" to mindless directory and type "./mindless"
Conclusion: it's not easy if you don't know how to work with a unix system (which OS X is) but it works! As soon as I get some spare time I'll try to pack everything up in a nice application and I submit it to the mindless maintainer
Not sure it is needed as of yet. Yes, there are multiplayer rules now, but until they actually sanction multiplayer tournaments, I'd say the multiplayer forums are just fine at the casual corner.
I disagree. Wizards has made it clear that they will soon have sanctioned tournaments for Two-Headed Giant, and we should have a chance to get a head start on strategy.
EDIT: Oh! There it is. How long has that been there?
Once you power out yosei, then the match is heavily in your favor, as they have to kill yosei, but require at least two+ fliers and equipment to do so. More over, meloku / hokori / petal is lethal even against the weenie decks right now.
They don't have to kill Yosei, they just have to kill you.
The deck doesn't have as much to do in the early turns as White Weenie does. They can get a good life advantage and keep Yosei on the defensive while finishing you off.
I'm not sure what you're referring to with "petal."
I see what you mean about the consistancy issue. You have to consider the kentaro / sensei combo as a 4-of of a 2/1 legendary samurai. I'll definitely try some games.
How can we fit otherworldly into the SB? If I expect few gifts matchups, can I drop the defiance... I almost hate to since they're gonna win games 2, 3 if I don't have defiance.
For the sideboard: What about -1 yosei, -1 prison, -1 hand, and possibly -1 defiance for +3 / +4 otherworldly? Again, does this jack up the consistancy? Hmmm... need goldfish. Need playtesting. Excited though!
I'm going to be all eyes on how many folks begin to run this. What is a good foil for this deck if you're playing gifts? What about for WW? We're saying WW has game against it at present, right?
Prison is much more useful than Otherworldly Journey.
I've been playtesting this deck. If you remove the control aspects and add Day of Destiny, it's actually a fairly robust legend-powered beatdown deck.
Unfortunately for a metagame deck, this deck just can't beat most of the metagame. It's good against a Gifts field, but that's about it.
27 Gruul
17 Orzhov
19 Human
5 (?) Signet
7 Legendary
3 Beast
4 Vedalken
234 Creature
13 Artifact
Thanks a lot!!

4) Mindless Automaton sources from http://mindless.sourceforge.net/
5) An updated cardinfo.dat (the same file used in apprentice)
-- step 2: compiling --
Let's go:
1) install X11.app or XDarwin.app

It really depends on your deck though, just just the metagame.
1. The Da Vinci Code
2. Digital Fortress
3. Deception Point
Well, yeah.
Blasmeister, I believe the next blend is yours.
I disagree. Wizards has made it clear that they will soon have sanctioned tournaments for Two-Headed Giant, and we should have a chance to get a head start on strategy.
EDIT: Oh! There it is. How long has that been there?
Blue shouldn't get a Final Fortune, and especially not a broken one with drawing built in.
"Draw 10 cards, take another turn, then at the end of that turn ignore this card cause you've already won. On turn 1."
Why not name it "Restricted in Vintage"?
They don't have to kill Yosei, they just have to kill you.

Perhaps Paradise Mantle would have been better.
