I'm more entertained by this topic than the last story I was told to convert me, so this topic has helped. Thanks, Banshee!

There are a few cards like this already (none exactly like this) and they tend to be between 2 and 5 cmc.
My general flavour shorthand is that if something includes creature sacrifice it's probably black, so that's why I chose that cost.

It's dark and I'm bored so whatever. I'll read and type until I finish my coffee.
DISCLAIMER: I'm a university student, not an experienced philosophy debater person.

@your sig: I don't often sing national anthems as they are usually terrible songs. Also, why would Darwin defend New Zealand? He's dead, and to my knowledge never designed weapons. Also his name wouldn't scan. Maybe "Kim defend New Zealand".

Cosmological argument: I disagree with all three premises because physics is really weird. Check out that stuff about the universe possibly being the nth one of an apparently endless loop. Also, starting with complexity is never a good start because it gives more stuff to explain.

The Argument from Design is silly, as an alternative has been shown to work (lol natural selection). Also standard protests to things being designed by a perfect god include "the human retina is on backwards, what's up with that?" and "the hand/foot is basically a mutant foot/hand, and that's bloody lazy"

Ontological Argument: the world doesn't care what you think. Also, amusing fact: it's possible to have triangles with +180 degree sum angles if they're drawn on a sphere.

Miracles: because no-one has ever lied while writing things that make their group look awesome. Never ever. Also, "I do not understand how this works, therefore god" is lazy thinking.

Alright, the coffee is wearing off. I'ma bounce.

As worded, congratulations for giving green/white cheap land destruction. Grin
Bugger, knew I missed something. Also, I didn't know planeswalker creatures did that.

Maybe put them in a set with lots of counter using permanents and reword them so they work with both?

    Mortalize - GW
    Enchantment - Aura
    Enchant non creature permanent
Enchanted permanent becomes an X/X creature of its color types, where X is the amount of counters on it.

    Optimistic Insight - GU
    Enchantment - Aura
    Enchant permanent
If an activated ability of this permanent would change the number of counters on this permanent, you give it another counter of a kind already there

    Pessimistic Insight - UB
    Enchantment - Aura
    Enchant permanent
Activated abilities of this permanent cannot be activated if they would cause counters to be put on it.

Something like that, but worded more clearly and/or so they would work? I'm not sure my Oracle-ese is up to this.

Reading these topics makes me feel like more people should spend time experiencing altered states of consciousness*, just to get used to the idea that not everything the brain says is happening actually happens.

I mean, everyone** experiences the world through the filters of their senses and thoughts, but I think people need to get used to the idea that these filters can be less than accurate, you know?

Also, as I understand it the human mind has an amazing ability to fit information to expectations. That's part of why science is so meritocratic/collaborative: lots of different points of view and they have to be supported by results.

*I'll say no more here, so as not to fall foul of social norms or law. You pick your poison and take your chances and all that.
**Probably this should have "as far as I know" bolted on, as should everything here, but that way lies madness.

    How about this:

    Lightsteel Colossus - 12
    Artifact Creature - Golem
    Trample
    Llightsteel Colossus is indestructible.
Lightsteel Colossus can't have counters placed on it.
If Lightsteel Colossus would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, reveal Lightsteel Colossus and shuffle it into its owner's library instead.
    11/11

    Still very simple design though.

I like the ideas behind all of these, but Triad Angels is the only one I got really excited about when I was reading through because it is mad and awesome.

Wasn't the Steady State theory replaced by Big Bang theory in the same way Intelligent Design was replaced by Evolution by Natural Selection?

Honestly, I'd prefer an artifact with "remove one counter from target permanent". Flavorwise it could be a medical device created by the Mirrans to slow Phyrexia, but it could also work on charge counters or loyalty counters or whatever.

I'm not sure how to cost it, because there are quite a few more interactions than Robert's Planeswalker Hoser.

I'm not the best judge of power, but the first thing I thought of when I read the card was a Goblin dressed as an ODST launching himself at some poor planeswalker's face, then exploding as the planeswalker shattered his jetpack.
It was a glorious mental image, and you have my full support.

i ment the card to be used as a last resort, level the playing feild and start over.

White gets lots of leveler effects, and flavorwise thinks of itself as just, but not necessarily nice. Examples:
    Planar Cleansing
    Armageddon
    Wrath of God
Admittedly white doesn't get so much land destruction nowadays, but this feels like a Super-Wrath to me.
Of course, you could always make it a gold card.

Edit@Oculus: Damnation maybe? That was planar chaos though.

I really like the flavor of these, and using silvercut's idea would be more compatible with preexisting cards.

I'm not sure if Brushwagg007's totem armor idea makes sense with these, because the flavor would be something like the hive protecting a creature which then stops being part of the hive. That just feels odd to me.

Minor question: What does Extended Ego do with infect? I'm thinking it just gives the owner poison counters, but I'm not sure.
