Depending on their iTrader and the amount of the sale, I would pay in gift. I've done every transaction online through gift payments and have never had a problem. Your results may vary.
If it's a large transaction, you could also opt for a third party trade where you find somebody who is notably invested in the community and you both send to that member and then they mail them to the other party.
Yes. It dies to removal. Every creature / spell / land / ability in the game can be countered, influenced, or removed in some way.
Beyond that, I would say that Angel of Serenity is worth grabbing, but only in trades at this point. It might drop to like $2.50 but that's about it. If you see a deck or interaction that enables this Angel to drop down from the skies again, this card will be moving up, and quickly.
I live in Minneapolis, MN and work in education, so I got winter break and two extra days off. Also, a pipe burst in my apartment complex because somebody left their window open (?) for some (?) amount of time; the air was so cold that it just blew up a radiator.
I could use some people on my friends list, my LoL username is also zrbrt. I am on the NA server. Currently Silver I, but I play w/ my plat buddies and can keep up just fine - I just don't have the time to grind ranked.
I'm playing him at 450 / unpowered. He has been good. I made a sick monoblack splash green deck for Survival of the Fittest that used him really well. I would say he was the all-star of the deck, but.. Survival of the Fittest.
I am also playing Act of Aggression and Zealous Conscripts in my cube, so sacrifice outlets have some synergy that might not be available in other cubes.
I think it's okay to ask for a value outside of the current market value, but it should be done tactfully and with reason.
Somebody recently asked me for a Gaea's Cradle in my binder - I told them that I didn't need anything they had, so I would have to essentially "rip them off" to make the trade worth my while. They weren't upset, and we ended up talking for quite awhile. He was a nice guy and understood where I was coming from; but, if I had said something like, "Bayou is worth $65," without giving him a reason, I don't think our interaction would've been the same.
Guys, the way to fix Commander is to just build a cube. You can even build a multiplayer Commander cube and have people draft out of that if they really hate 1v1 drafting. Cubes allow for team drafts, 2hg drafts, multiplayer drafts, 1v1 drafts, etc.
Honestly, I built a cube and buylisted my 9 Commander decks the first time we drafted the thing because I had so much fun.
...I'm also just a guy that's propagating storm and turbolandish strategies because they create a more healthy (and ballsy) environment in (online) 8 player draft...
I think the problem with having archetypes like storm and turboland in cube is that the cards put into these decks are not flexible. What am I going to do with Tendrils of Agony outside of count to 10 with it? Which card is more flexible: Exploration or Elvish Mystic?
Granted, I have not read the entire monstrosity that is this thread, and I may be missing some key point; but, I would prefer to draft a cube that offers flexibility, not a cube that offers cookie-cutter archetypes with no wiggle room.
Just one great Simic card. Can we do that? How about 1UG, 3/3 hexproof flash trample regenerate tap to ping for one draw a card when this card comes into play your opponent's can't win the game you can't lose the game you may cast X from exile *breath*. phew.
But seriously, just one new good Simic card would really make me happy.
If you are just getting started playing magic, do you have a group of people that play commander locally at the game shop? I only ask because the Commander 2013 products just came out, are available at Target, and are $30 for tons of value.
Commander is a lot of fun, you can learn the ins and outs of the rules, and you just play casually. The 100 card decks are perfect to just sleeve up and play, meet some new friends, and start learning from there.

Oh wait, I'm the only person that's ever played that thing.
Thanks, Old Man Winter!
I main jungle/support if you care.

Turn one Peat Bog, go.
Turn two Phyrexian Tower, tap Peat Bog for BB, Dark Ritual for BBBB, Grim Monolith, tap for 3BB, Tooth of Ramos, tap, sac, WWBB, cast Academy Rector, sac to Phyrexian Tower, BB floating, get Yawgmoth's Bargain, draw arbitrary number of cards, cast Skirge Familiar, win through a series of Soul Feast, Renounce, Yawgmoth's Will, with Vampiric Tutor for consistency.
Totally fair.
Those were the days of standard.
TL;DR: Get off my lawn?
Honestly, I built a cube and buylisted my 9 Commander decks the first time we drafted the thing because I had so much fun.
Just my $.02
