This insect shaman seriously makes me want to take red out of my Jund EDH. The first EDH deck I ever made. The only thing stopping me is nostalgia. Good enough reason not to build with this dude as my general?
Meren is from Jund, right? I thought Jund went bye-bye with the rest of Alara.
Also, Meren has me thinking of removing red from my Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper EDH deck and using her instead.
EDIT: Oh, and are we getting oversized versions of the insect shaman, Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest, in the EDH box?
Jund went bye-bye in the sense that it is no longer it's own plane, but it's still present on the reforged Alara. Hence why she gets to walk over to Grixis and learn from the necromancers there.
Wow. Looks like I need to look over my Alara history. I thought Bolas took out the entire plane, all shards included.
The art doesn't quite feel like "Magic: The Gathering" art. It feels more like some random, generic card game art. I mean, I like it, but it seems different in an odd way.
Also, card to include:
Phyrexian Altar
How I miss him...
How I love the spikes!
I don't always play Commander. But when I do, I run Thief of Blood.

Yeah. That Centaur Plant type is throwing me off big time. Is it a centaur turning into a plant? Vice versa?
Absolutely. I hate losing to my own good stuff.
Well said, sir. An Eldrazi is still an Eldrazi. No complaints here.
...I love it. And the Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur quote is superb.
