I love the challenge this card carries. Hopefully Baneslayer won't get reprinted in M11 and this guy can have a chance to knock around White/ Blue mages in T2.
Vhati il-Dal has always been one of my favorite legends in Magic. Now admittedly, I don't know much about the whole pre-/post-Time Spiral block repercussions on PW's other than they are not as powerful, but let me ask this. Is it possible that when Greven threw Vhati over the side of the Predator flagship, his PW spark ignited and he was able to transport himself to another plane safely?
Vhati il-Dal, Planeswalker. Seeing this on a Magic card would totally make me a happy Magic geek. I wonder what he would do.
So somebody, please tell me it's possible.
So perhaps an Angel and Demon planeswalker along with Jace? It has been suggested that the Demon would be Ob Nixilis, the Fallen, though I have some doubt for it, seeing how they differ so much in appearance.. But perhaps the planeswalker version is no longer "Fallen"? ;o
When I first saw the demon, I thought of Ob Nixilis, too. I think he would look different after no longer being "fallen."
As for the vampires: I love the art, but can't wait until we leave Zendikar. I hate vampires being Black's main creature type right now. Hopefully when we visit Mirrodin again, we'll be seeing something of the Phyrexian persuasion.;)
I think I agree with wingedcoyote on the subject of Guay illustrating a new Solemn Simulacrum. While I love the idea of an artist stepping outside of her usual boundaries, I just don't think Guay's wholly organic style would be fitting. Someone like say, Chippy, would do an awesome job. Don't you think so, Shunma, considering your avatar?
But in all reality, they probably wouldn't give the Simulacrum new art anyways. I will continue to hope, though.
Usually I would say LD is just wrong in Magic, but this deck looks crazy fun.
What about adding Raze? Does the same thing Tremble does, but better and for one less mana.
I would LOVE to see Phyrexian Processor reprinted in FTV: Relics. I hope they don't waste a spot on Icy Manipulator, though. Swords of Fire/Ice, Light/Shadow would certainly be "battle tested."
What about Solemn Simulacrum? Certainly is an EDH must.
I hate Consume Spirit or other Drain Life effects. Part of me wants to play them, but mostly I think they are just cheap win cards in the right deck. There's no fun winning that way.
I just got hit with Sorin's second ability this past weekend for the first time.
It's pretty lame. In fact, it's just sad. Luckily I had to go anyway, but still...
I haven't encountered a run-in with Humility yet. I'm lucky on that front. Rhystic Study is a headache, though.
Are there any generals out there that are extremely annoying other than Uril or Jhoira? My brother runs Darien as his general in a very solid soldier deck. I admire it, but that doesn't make playing against Darien any less annoying.
I'd love to see Karn show up in one of the newly commissioned art pieces for Relics.
If Karn is featured in the art of one of the cards, and "Lights" ends up being Mirrodin Pure or New Phyrexia or whatever, do you guys think we will see Karn show up printed as the first artifact PW?
