For me Grazing was a lot like Oracle. It died before it could do much. But Ruinblaster did it not matter what as long as it wasn't canceled, but then again they need a unbasic. As for Trace I have it SB in case of Spreading and whatnot. For searing blaze i will have to test, seems good on paper, but just not sure.
I have Chain Reaction in SB as well. It helps obviously vs decks like jund and white weenies or anything that creates a big board presence fast. It also can hit flyers which is another advantage as well as not hurting yourself. As for burst, I don't even have it SB, it is a bad card in this deck. 5 mana for 4 damage, i'd rather use unstable footing or lava ave giving me 5 damage for 5 mana.
Vealin looks at Zenith as he is distracted. "ZENITH!" Vealin yells at Zenith to try and get him focused. "Well, I can't wait for him." Vealin says as he looks at Evan then back to the spirit. He draws upon mana and summons a familar elf.
OOC: Sorry for taking so long to reply. I hadn't been checking in because of school.
Vealin looked at Keifru as he said they were ghosts. ""Are you serious? This is not good. Ghosts are not one of my strongpoints, neither one of my creatures." Vealin said as he looked at the ghosts approaching them.

Edit: YEAH!
Yeah Kazul I had in the sideboard and I usually side him in against aggro and vamps. As for Lavaball, I think it's a great card, it really can screw with your opponet. Yeah the Hydra dies to something really cheap, like Terminate or Journey to Nowhere. Use Banefire, Cometstorm, or Fireball if you really like X's
"Invintation? They approached us without one. But I do think we should be cautious of them and be careful when we enter." Vealin said as he stopped next to Keifru and looked at the swarm and wondered how they were going to get in there undetected or atleast unharmed.
I really don't think KHE is all that good, but that's just my opinion. I think all new players to Valakut should atleast test them though, because that might work for you, might not. Anyways, Ruinblaster is in my SB. I don't use him MB because my meta has like bunch of people who play just basics and don't use anything other than that besides a few fetch. So cut them to SB. Also I think Trace of Abundance should be SB, because all it does is gives a land extra mana which isn't that much of a problem with this deck. You SB them in if they are playing Spreading Seas or Convincing Mirage
Sounds very interesting. Can't wait. Also, I might want to be a merfolk planeswalker, which would awesome. Though he would have to be who can breathe air and water.
His tigers easily crush the ant."Well that was suprising. I didn't expect an attack like that. So, how is everyone, everbody all right? Vealin said as he looked around for anymore that were hostile. He let go of his concentration and his creatures disspated and the orbs glowed no longer. "Well we should close atleast. Vealin mentioned as they continued on their way.
I normally play at FNM's so there aren't many mind games going on there. We're all just there to have fun and play some magic. Yeah but if somebody come into there like Mr. I-got-this who play's fast, I will use tricks to make him play sloppy and do mistakes. As long as I think they deserve it, I will use shady tricks to win, it's part of the game. But as for them being morally 'wrong', it's up to who's using them to decide that. It's kinda of like playing chess, there's a friend I have who play really fast to pressure their opponets and throw them off. Of course their quite good at chess and slow down a bit towards the midgame and endgame, it doesn't matter, because normally their opponet has dug themself a hole that can't get out of. But of course this is in chess and a bit different in magic, where they can comeback with a few cards, whereas in chess all of your 'cards', so to speak, are visible and in magic their in your libray and hand, which are unknown to your opponet. They use pyschology to throw them off and you can do the same in magic, just not as much. But people will give away hints to what cards are in their hands, just like meyou said. It's actually quite easy to spot once you know what to look for.
"They just don't stop do they?" Vealin said as the insects attacked him. His elephants crushed two of the ants, the bear clawing at the other one and Vealin himself killed one. After that he gathered more mana and one of his elves gathered some as well, so a total of ten orbs glowed through his cloak. He summoned two tigers and another bear. After that his elephants and one bear unleashed a roar of rage and charged the queen.
OOC: Oh I though it gave cultimative damage as well. My bad.
"Seriously, more of these things. And they brought friends. The more the merrier I guess." Vealin said as the things came at him. Vealin clawed at one of the ants, killing it and slightly flinched at the pain of the four ants and a mosquitoe going at him. After that, he summoned another orb to his necklace, giving him access to more mana. Then his four elves channeled more mana for him as well as 8 total orbs glowed through his cloak. "Heh, I've got some friends as well. He said as he summoned two elephants and a bear. Now he was ready for a fight.
OOC: Shoudn't you be at 17 life, because of the poison?
Vealin smacked another one. His necklace glowed with two green orbs showing through his cloak."Wait, it's poison? We got to kill these things fast."Vealin said as his blood tingled with the poison. His elf helped him concentrate, and another orb appeared under his cloak. Then more elf's his joined the other one.
Vealin smacked one of the mosquitoes to the ground. "Ack, what is this? What do these things have against us?". Vealin concentrated on a jungle and summoned an elf.
