Regarding the thread, I think we have enough steam to connect everything together.
I just pulled off a great turn two harrow. The hand was iffy, but harrow made it great: Birds, Forest, Forest, Persecutor, Momentous fall, Bloodghast, harrow.
t1 forest birds,
t2 forest into harrow into 2 swamps into Bloodghast,
t3 persecutor with the possibility of a turn 4(etc) fall.
I think the harrow smooths some of the edges: my build runs 3 harrow and 3 Fleshbag's for an extra body. I feel we might need some more targeted destruction, a'la Smother or something like it.
I'll do some more testing today to see what I can come up with.
regarding the fetches: I would say yes, only because trading life for tempo (no 'comes into play tapped' + deck thinning) does wonders for this deck. However, to the budget conscious (i.e., myself) savage lands would probably work just as well
I am loving talroma's list so far. Right now, but only big question is if there is anything more efficient than borderland ranger. Off the top of my head:
Harrow - instant speed, plus you get two lands.
Rampant growth - a turn sooner, land goes into play.
Growth Spasm - land comes into play, get Elrdazi drone for the chump/mana accel.
Ondu Giant- a turn later, but land comes into play and 4 toughness body lasts a bit longer.
@radagast Precisely. In my build I have been using 3 momentous falls with 1 in the side. I think some more spot removal would be good, but i have been increasingly happy with this build as testing goes on. thought gorger comes out for the vamps, though. Definitely.
What about Thought Gorger? I was testing it earlier today and it puts the hurt on them pretty quickly. You get rid of some junk cards (maybe - obviously this is a timing issue, you want about 2 of them in the deck and not too many more) and force them to use removal on what is, on average, a 6/6. You are sacrificing card advantage for a major threat on the board which - if they remove - you get a fresh hand. Combine with Momentous fall for extra love all around.
Name: Between Ko and Pa.
Casting cost: 7
Non creature permanent - Tribal X - Eldrazi.
What do we have left to work with?
The Jay-z reference suggests a tutor (If you're having eldrazi problems I feel bad for you son, I've got 99 problems [and an eldrazi ain't one, because I tutored for it].
I think we can forget the gerbils.
Two references to a "Luke" also seem like a red herring, though "Luke" sounds like Look (why, yes, I am stretching.)
The first thing that jumped out at me was the introduction of the 'silver lining". If the Orb discussion is to be believed, we have 2 more colorless cards to look into, an instant/sorcery and a creature.
With my (albeit limited) understanding of the mechanic, Rebound would work like this:
You have a pyromancer's ascension on the board. You play reboundspell1, with no copies of it in your graveyard. It gets exiled, and the next turn it is cast from exile, eventually landing in your graveyard.
The next turn, you play reboundspell1 again - another copy. Pyromancer's ascension pings once for the original cast, and then again on the cast from exile at your next upkeep, fully activating the ascension and making you a very, very happy pyromancer.
We now know two of the Eldrazi Gods: Kozilek and Ulamogg.
We also know the name of two of the merfolk gods: Ula and Cosi.
This is probably not a coincidence. I can not seem to find mention of the third merfolk god, but I know there is a Savor the Flavor discussing all three of the merfolk gods.
Maybe this is just my Lovecraftian side kicking in, but, Oh man is that cool! Anyone know the name of the third?
I would personally really like a reprint of Ghostfire with tribal - Eldrazi, thereby making Eye of Ugin incredibly powerful (I mean, sure, it's just lightning bolt, but thematically, it is cool.)
My Guess is that Ghosfire-ish cards will be counted amongst the colors in their casting cost, giving us about 10 cards to work with in the colorless spectrum.
Loving sea-gate loremaster in play tests. Dropped Explore.
I know this is otherwise silly, but my inner Johnny is tingling thinking about Minion reflector. It can make a Harabaz Druid tap for at least two the turn it comes out, which is fun and accelerating. Anyone Feel like testing it out, maybe in the Everflowing chalice builds I've seen? For an update, here is my decklist:

are there any more that might be better suited?
Also: Garruk is a beast in this deck.

Let's think... the 8 means it is tucked between Kozilek and pathrazer...
(Kozilek/K/L/m/n/o/pa) - 7
Tribal (instant/sorcery) - Eldrazi
*effect somehow related to luke's hand*
8/248
This is our smaller common eldrazi.I'm Guessing:
Emakrul's Punisher - 7
Creature Eldrazi Common
Flying
Annihilator 1
7/7
...of course the new update confirms this!
