@Qatol: I'm not 100% sure of this, but I think there's about two rares per intro pack. As for the quality, your milage may vary, but they're typically kind of janky. They usually fit thematically though. As for the commons and uncommons, no idea. I wouldn't doubt it varies from intro pack to intro pack.
Delver of Secrets/Insectile Aberration is nice. At common, a 1/1 for U that turns into a flying 3/2? Cool. I wonder if it was based off of The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka.
Also, I've been expecting something like Doomed Traveler for a while now.
let's put it this way: better or worse than the cardboard dragonshields come in?
Not as good as the Dragon Shield cases. They're going to feel about the same, but they're a lot smaller. You won't be able to fit a sleeved deck into these. An non-sleeved 60 card deck though, sure.
I like Cellar Door. Granted, I doubt would use it in anything I'm currently playing, but it's kind of cool. I don't know, for some reason, it kind of reminds me of Theodore Roethke’s “Root Cellar," a poem I had to write/BS a paper about in my American literature class last semester... yeah... okay...
EDIT: After reading the next posts, yeah, it definitely helps when your general gets put on the bottom of your library. Personally, that doesn't happen to me often, but I could definitely see how it can help against that.
It's one of the few Lilliana arts where she is actually attractive...
Hear, hear.
Anyway, yeah, it's pretty much the same stuff that's been in the last few fat packs since MBS. As for the art on the basic lands, I actually look forward to seeing them. If it's anything like the art direction of the rest of the set, they should look pretty cool.
@Mubutu: They're cardboard. They're pretty much the same as the old tournament packs and theme decks.
I remember making a thread similar to this a few months ago. Anyway, while I like the PC frames, I don't think I'd want them to switch over to them. They look alright, but something about the white text just doesn't do it for me. That said, if for whatever reason in the future they changed the frames to something similar, I don't think I'd mind. Even if they look like crap, I definitely wouldn't be quitting the game over something like that.
I actually really like this card. Yeah, I agree that this probably didn't need to be a transform card; they could have made it when something died, you got a few soldier tokens or something. Still, I don't mind something different. I like the flavor of this. The lone soldier thinks it's going to be a quiet night on the job, but then something gets killed by something else, then the militia comes in to avenge him. Yeah, the more I think about it, tokens probably would have worked a little better.
Laboratory Maniac is awesome. I love alternate win conditions like that. Also, Leveler finally has a use. Anyway, I guess we're finally seeing the card that turns a loss into a win.
Cool, but this doesn't really affect me too much. I've honestly never checked rating, nor do I care to. Well, actually, I tried just now, but there's a smudge covering the first half of my activation code, but I don't care enough to do anything about it. That said, if I had to guess how many points I have, I'd say no more than 20 or so.
Thrax is better, but this guy is pretty good as well. He works pretty well with token decks, and hell, you could even try and go voltron with him. Sac a bunch of tokens, proliferate the +1/+1 counters, etc. He's alright. At school, we have a pretty casual EDH crowd, so I could see people using this guy. I doubt he was made with the intention of being (widely) used in any format outside of EDH/Commander.
I think Liliana is okay. I kind of like she has a CMC of three. But yeah, she's just okay. I like Garruk a lot better.
As for Kruin Outlaw, I had a good chuckle when I saw it. The woman in the art kind of looks like a girl I almost hooked up with the other night. As for the actual card itself, the werewolf part is alright. A 3/3 with double strike that can't be blocked except by two or more creatures is pretty cool.
Flavor text on the vampire should have been: "Haters gonna hate."
I thought this immediately as I saw the noble also.
As for the Rooftop Storm, my first thought was Thraximundar. I have a friend that somewhat recently took apart his Thraximundar EDH deck. If he gets a Rooftop Storm, I won't blame him if he wants to reconstruct the deck.
Also, I've been expecting something like Doomed Traveler for a while now.

In EDH/Commander though, it looks like red just got a new pseudo-wrath. I like.
