Vela, the Night-Clad was designed as a ninja-support general. She gives all of your dudes evasion, making it easy to fulfill Ninjutsu, and her last ability triggers on Ninjutsuing a dude.
That's what I did, I run Dauthi Horror and other shadow guys and some unblockable dudes + Vela means you should be able to get through, I'm only running 8 Ninja guys as I took out the exile 2 cards in graveyard guy and one of the blue ones out, also I run Oona as one of the 99. Fun deck to play I have my list below but I need to update with a few changes I made a few weeks ago like I added Painful Quandary and Rite of Replication as copying Vela 5x when kicked = 36 pts of damage to all my oppnents but I don't usually tutor for Rites unless the game drags on too long but if I draw it, the game may end fast.
What about Fist of Suns? it can make casting Progenitus alot easier and get around the high costing of your double or triple colored spells, I have a Proggy deck and Fist is one of the first things I search for cause a turn 5 Proggy can be pain for everyone at the table.
Example from the other night as to why this is a great card:
Down to three people in a game. I play Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and lock down an opponents key card. I also have Dark Confidant on board. He casts Judgement and votes for Tammy. Now, I know that if I pick something from the third player's board (like Krenko, Mob Boss) then he is going to pick Bob and I'm going to get Tammy and Bob exiled. So I vote for Tammy.
That type of situation is going to occur very often. Or, many people aren't going to asses the situation the way I did and Krenko, Bob and Tammy all get exiled. For 3 CMC.
Judgment is seriously good.
One problem you can't vote for Tammy you owned it and the card reads vote for a non-land permanent YOU DON'T CONTROL.... I like the card but did not pull one yet !!!
I hope they keep reprinting some of the old Commander, Planechase, and now Conspiracy exclusive cards.
Would Sensei's Divining Top cause too much demand for these decks? Is it even played or legal in other formats any more?
If they don't I would be content with Crystal Ball but SDT would be very welcome.... I also would like to see enemy Tailsmans if they are to create new mana rocks.
We do it once every month as I have all the planes minus the $25 promo plane, and like other have mentioned it can either end the game quick or drag it on for alot longer then playing a normal game of Commander, but it nice change of pace and everyone in my group seems to enjoy t.
Thanks for the replies especially the breakdown by Sonofabith, I'm not in any big hurry to get rid of these I bought them mainly to sit on them hoping they increase in value and either taking cash (ebay route) or maybe trading into a place like ChannelFireball + 30% store credit and turning that into Power like I did when I traded in my FTV: Dragons, Exiled, Relics & Legends along with few foil gems I had and got a damaged/beat up Mox Emerald and heavily played Mox Pearl. Right now CF will give me the following with + 30% store credit:
Arsenal = $260
FTV: Realms = $137.50
the others they don't have listed as sealed product and want just the $$ cards in them, so I may have to go the ebay route with those but again I'm not in any big hurry to dump these and can continue to sit on them. My big fear is if I open Arsenal I may just keep the money cards and use them as I don't have them but the other sealed products are duplicates as I bought two of each when I first got them.
Hello I have the following sealed and was wondering if I should still keep them or sell them...
- Commander Arsenal
- Mind Seize (Commander 2013)
- FTV: Realms
- Planchase 2012 - Chaos Reigns
- Planchase 2012 - Night of the Ninja
- Duel Deck - Izzet vs Golgari
- Duel Deck - Heroes vs Monsters
- Duel Deck - Venser vs Koth
If you should suggest I sell what can I expect to get for them? if I should keep holding them, when do you think I should let them go/what price should I sell at? I look forward to the replies.
I did something similiar but I threw in most of the FTV Legends into the deck with Proggy at the helm and added some domain cards, a couple of the Bringers from Fifth Dawn, all the Honden's from CoK, and a bunch of utility stuff from Fifth Dawn like All Sun's Dawn, Fist of Suns to elivate some of the casting costs of my creatures plus get Proggy into play with 5 mana, Joiner Adept & Chromatic Latern to help with mana smoothing then to top it off I went the Snow Covered Lands and Scrying Sheets to get more value for using the Sheets and to be able to run Heidar, Rimewind Master. It's my pet deck but is fun to play as Domain was one of favorite decks back in the Invasion days of my playing.
Hmm Coat of Arms is interesting as really the only other tribe being run in my group is Rhys and his elf buddies, so this may work better as casting Rebels is not always utilized as searching is sometimes the better option.
I also like the Distorting Lens tech not sure if I own one but if I don't it is next on my radar to get, as I never thought of the color changing abilities and making the Bringers even more powerful.
I own a Decree and Zenith and will consider them, don't own a Processor but I like what you posted and is cheap enough to get to try out, I would run Austere Command if I had a extra but it's in another deck.
There is alot of graveyard hate in my group so it can be shaky getting Rebels back in my Library so that why my count is a little high, I will be playing the deck this weekend and I'll adjust from there but thanks for the response and input as I have read your primer and it's very good read re: Rebels.
So after playing the deck for year, I've made some changes to this deck.
- Silveblade Paladin, + Mirror Entity - He is just so much better in this deck then Paladin and can be searched for by my Rebel searchers.
- Doubling Cube, + Umezawa's Jitte - I never could get the cube going so I added another Equipment and may be one of the best equipments printed so we'll see how it goes.
- Dreamstone Hedron, + Door of Destinies - I pulled one in M14 and decided to add to my deck as the Hedron was to mana intensive and adding more pump to my Rebels seems like a better choice.
- Mass Calcify , + Spear of Heloid, Too many white creatures in my group for Calcify to be effective so I added Spear of Heliod instead as more pump and ability to kill a creature seemed so much better.
- 3 Plains, + Mistveil Plains, + Thespian Stage, + Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx - Just better lands over all. Mistveil allows me to put non-rebels on the bottom of my library as controlling two white permanents should not be a problem and the same can be said about having a decent devotion count for Nykthos and Thespian lets me copy any of the many utility lands my opponents play if need be.
