It will see play in standard. No doubt about that. The old saying goes: haters gon' hate.

Green dude is not very good because you won't cast 2 creatures on the same turn almost.... NEVER. So it's just a 4/3 haste for 4 (not TOO bad) that sometimes auto-ressurrects but you would be very lucky for this to happen unless you are running a deck designed for that with blue card draw or mechanics that make your cheap creatures to come back to your hand or something

Bloodbraid Elf and Ranger of Eos say otherwise.

    Up - 52

I know that level came up 124 times, but the instance of the word "up" came up 52 times. So, I am assuming it would be safe to say that there are no more than 52 cards with the ability "Level Up." But it is safe to say that it is probably less than 52 as the word up could come from flavor text or other reminder texts.

I would play searing blaze mainboard as it is an easy choice to sideboard out in the second game if needed. I would also put punishing fire sideboard due to the growing popularity of Kor Firewalker. They gain one life, you pay one and get punishing fire back in your hand.

I know this is probably one of those annoying questions where I get the response, "you should have read through the replies." But, I did not find the answer, so maybe someone could let a brother know. How and by whom was this card verified? It was just kind of on the rumor mill one day. I never saw a definitive answer as to how it was spoiled. Maybe, it's just wishful thinking, but I really wanted this card to be better, but this is just crap.

I have thought about adding two of these to this variant on a boros bushwhacker deck that I had going a couple of weeks ago, but even that seems not good enough. I wanted an actual 13/13 creature. The only way you can get this thing to a 13/13 is with a platinum angel out. It's not worth it. Also, no evasion.

I like MaRo and all, but why he even compared this to Phyrexian Dreadnought is beyond me. It's not even the same concept. You can't even trickbind, voidslime, or stifle this beast. I guess I was just expecting way too much. Maybe, he will end up proving me wrong. But, this is a rare I will not be happy about pulling a pack.

The landfall ability doesn't give you an extra card per land. It will only give you 3 cards even if you somehow put 10 lands into play at once.

You are right. I just went back and read the card, it's still good, but not as good as I once thought. I thought it pretty much said draw an extra card for each land drop, but it actually just says draw three instead. I'm glad you caught me on that before I went on a rant at my local shop talking about how good the card was.

I think what people are forgetting about Mysteries of the Deep is that it is only a conditional draw three cards if you do it at instant speed on the other players turn after cracking a fetchland. I like to look at it as a draw two instant speed, draw three instant speed if you crack a fetchland, draw three cards on your turn at sorcery speed, or draw four cards on your turn at sorcery speed if you cracked a fetchland (not to mention all the possibilities with harrow). It's a card that is versatile, that doesn't explicitly state how versatile it is. This card is insane for a common and I know it will see some standard play. At least at some FNM tables.
