The deck is zombie tribal with control elements, i use some enchantment tutors and stuff like that.
It basically just tries to resolve Army of the Damned, and lets only army of the damned resolve. lol
stuff like hatching plans is kinda what i'm going for
thanks all
So I have this shell here, it maximizes on using the best BW control spells to set up the perfect board for a timely reinforcements, Ghost Council of Orzhova works around this very well for setting up timely reinforcements and being the champion of chump blocking. I thought the white planeswalkers were too cmc heavy for confidant.
I stumbled upon a suicidal tokens engine, but nothing to apply it to.
thanks for the reply!
I see what you're saying about Dash hopes and do agree with you
Most of the artifacts do have the kill buttons on them for the benefit of doing something in response to being targeted- to lose them with a benefit rather than just getting 2 for 1'd.
I do love the boardsweeps now, i'm getting some life's finales all up in here
andddd i found something delicious- Stuffy doll. Not only is it the penultimate chump block and phylactery, it makes all my tendrils of corruption INTO instant speed corrupts for 4 mana. Sweetness.
+1 Stuffy Doll
-1 Corrupt
+1 Life's Finale
-1 Unearth
+1 unholy grotto
-1 swamp
I have friends who are into casual magic, and i've been slowly rotating out of the competitive scene. I'm looking through my 'other stuff' piles, and come across something that i've always wanted to use but never had the chance: Phylactery Lich
So i built a casual deck that can win but still not be terrorizing.
Originally I made this deck for flavor, and i think all the spells flow together for that quite nicely. You're a necromancer in the quest for immortality who can summon 5 dead kings to abolish anything in your midst and to gain secret knowledge from.
I played against a myr tokens deck and got screwed because i had not one board sweeper mainboard, in the next incarnation of this i'm going to go something like:
-2 Dark Ritual
+1 Life's Finale
+1 Unholy Grotto
I may also take out the rituals altogether for another dash hopes and some other things for the tutor package
i think pestilence would be a nice addition as well, what with indestructible 5/5's running around.
I want this deck to be fun to play against (lol) so I'm staying away from hand disruption altogether, and the dash hopes let the opponent choose their poison while giving you an alternative to controlling things.
It generally plays out by playing some artifacts early on and then playing the creatures, applying pressure, killing their threats, then draining ftw
the lifegain mid thru lategame makes up for the slower board position
and then with elixirs of immortality you can literally eat decks alive with your unlimited resources....
Anyone else run casual stuff like this? It's a hell of a fun deck to play
i'd go blue for copy enchantments and blue. because blue my friends, is blue. And this is coming from a devoted black player.
Ruhan of the Fomori works with this perfectly as you can just keep your 99 almost solely defense based and then just winwinwin when the dust from the opponents' impending war starts to settle. all of the precon wrb generals just become irrelevant.
Blue has too many good additions to pass up.
the choice is clear.
Yeah when I've played it it gives nothing but sick plays out of nowhere.
I've played monoblack Dun on Cockatrice for awhile, and that is suuuch a sick deck. Profane Command recur insanity. If you have the 170 to blow on him i would do it.
So how have you fared against Kaalia of the Vast and Mimeoplasm builds?
So far I'm using

this was one idea:
Can this go anywhere? I'm going to test this more, but i feel like right now this build is just a fractured idea.
why spend mana making your threats big when you can spend mana making idiot life and playing ubercheap threats that stay that way?
seems like fun bro
