Oct 4, 2010maybe u can consider utilizing liquimetal coating for this deck. can untap ur eldrazi with voltaic key if u play the eldrazi, or u can tap any permanent with tumble magnet, although it still doesnt really help with the plainswalkers (unless they are about to attack with gideon)Posted in: Standard Archives
Oct 4, 2010hmm yeah livewire lash might be something to think about. Emerge unscathing a guy with livewire lash on it is pretty nice getting to shock something... could go in instead of basilisk collar in my build. My build is super aggro of course so im not running anything if at all above CMC 2, but i do understand your point, and its valid, but when u are consistently killing people before turn 5-6 then it doesn't rly matter how big their butts arePosted in: Standard Archives
Oct 4, 2010cuz im only running 7 artifacts total. thats not enough half of what you would need for a limited deck! the "point" is to kill them as fast as possible, this can be done with or without equipment, its obviously better/faster with equipment. I'm considering galvanic blast for the sideboard however (instead of burst lightning) because of the possibility that I would have 3 or more... but I probably never will esp. post board when they bring in artifact hate.Posted in: Standard Archives
alanexry:the title of your thread is rw koros - if i remember correctly, koros is an archetype that was based off of boros and using sfm to get equipment for it. My deck that i posted is koros, just like the thread title says.
Oct 4, 2010thats interesting, but i think that goblin guides r still pretty insane. and double red could be annoying to cast when u want to cast 2 white spells the next turn or cast a white spell and leave up emerge unscathed. We already have a double striker in kor duelist, and i would say that warren instigator isnt any better than him without equipment, and kor duelist and instigator are equally as good with equipment on them, but the duelist is in our main colors. Goblin guide is just so aggressive idk if we should even consider not running him. but feel free to try it definitely. Double strikers are pretty insane.Posted in: Standard Archives
edit: at least in my build quest for the holy relic is wayyyyy slow. We should be able to kill an opponent before we cast 5 creatures, since each should beat for at least 4 per turn. Also I wouldnt run argentum armor in my build for the holy relic to get.
Oct 4, 2010steppe lynx seems kinda awkward since the deck seems kinda midrange.. i can see how it is good with all ur fetches, but its probably your only attacking creature turns 1-3 or 4 so its kinda awkward i think.Posted in: Standard Archives
Oct 4, 2010Posted in: Standard ArchivesQuote from NefariousHoly crap, I was just tinkering around with a concept deck in excel when I decided to check the forums and see what people were doing with R/W landfall. Your list matches mine almost exactly. The only differences were some of the lands choices and the emerge unscathed. I was going to use Brave the Elements. I obviously haven't play tested anything yet. The build is incredibly aggressive with my only concern being that it has little removal. Have you had the chance to do any testing yet, if so, what has been your experience thus far?
nope havnt gotten to test yet. pretty busy this week so doubt I will get to test too much before states unfortunately. Brave the elements is good but it only protects your white creatures, and emerge unscathed is probably just better anyway since u can protect ur dude and then it rebounds for a swing the next turn. I used to have PTE but obviously cant do that anymore. bolts r pretty good to get the early blockers dead and idk what other removal can even go into the deck, it cant be anything that costs more than 2, maybe journey to nowhere maindeck, but that is probably the only other possibility, aside from more burn. tunnel ignus may even have to get moved to maindeck since there are so many primevil titan decks running around. who knows. lol
Oct 4, 2010so the combo cant be done until u have 6 lands minimum on the board and if they remove ur guy u just lose really badly and treasure hunt will only get u a thought gorger 22% of the time, and if u dont play it that turn, u probably need to discard all the cards you drew for that turn up until thought gorger... and i assume ur trying to have 20 cards in hand when u play the gorger and then u can fling it at their face?... seems really unlikely that will ever happen, even with treasure hunt and 40 land, you will likely need to chain 2-4 treasure hunts in succession to draw 1/3 of ur deck, and then ull need like 10 mana to b able to do the combo in that turn... interesting idea but i really dont think it will work at all.Posted in: Standard Archives
Oct 4, 2010this would be my build of koros, played around with an aggro white kor deck that did well at FNM consistently at leastPosted in: Standard Archives

will get around to testing eventually, will likely play with something close to this at states.
also not too sure if sword of body and mind is actually good enough. could be though. kinda expensive for the deck.
edit: livewire lash may b a good addition to the deck, pumps attack and has good synergy with emerge unscathed.
although, if we keep basilisk collar in the main, then we can run cunning sparkmages in the side and do that whole shindig, or even just run the lash main, and 4 sparks and 1 collar in the side - we already have the SFM's to fetch the collar maindeck. Could be worth testing for sure against those pesky all creature decks.
Oct 4, 2010playing leonin arbiter in a deck with 12 of its own search cards is pretty bad.. take that outta the sideboard. the deck needs less equipment, and definitely at least 1 infiltrator lens, also definitely goblin guide is an autoinclude probably over the spikeshot, its super mana intensive when u already have a lot of sinks in equipment.Posted in: Standard Archives
