What happens when I try to get back Kunoros, Hound of Athreos with some other creatures by means of Command the Dreadhorde?

They all enter the battlefield at the same time so Kunoros static ability wouldn't apply until after they are all here, right?

  • posted a message on Sagas with Doubling Season
Can someone please clarify on first two triggered abilities triggering at once, giving you two times two knights? Rules say
714.2b “{rN} — [Effect]” means “When one or more lore counters are put onto this Saga, if the number of lore counters on it was less than N and became at least N, [effect].”

and this made me go and do a search for a rule which says counters are placed one at a time (like card draws), but I wasn't able to get one from there. Then, "or more" part made my concerns even stronger (like why it would even be there if counters are placed one at a time). So now I'm in believe that counters are placed in numbers at once. Saga had 0 then it had 2. 0 is less than 2 - so get your (II) effect and thats it.

Then I realized that each Saga just have multiple triggers which will trigger separately. Case closed Kekeke

  • posted a message on Bestow and Creature Types
"Enchantment - Aura" named Nyxborn Shieldmate will not have soldier subtype

    Quote from CR 702.102a »
Bestow represents two static abilities, one that functions while the card with bestow is on the stack and another that functions both while it’s on the stack and while it’s on the battlefield. "Bestow [cost]" means "You may cast this card by paying [cost] rather than its mana cost." and "If you chose to pay this spell’s bestow cost, it becomes an Aura enchantment and gains enchant creature. These effects last until one of two things happens: this spell has an illegal target as it resolves or the permanent this spell becomes, becomes unattached." Paying a card’s bestow cost follows the rules for paying alternative costs in rules 601.2b and 601.2e–g.

More then that, permanents with no "Creature"(or "Tribal") type can't have creature subtype

    Quote from CR 205.3d »
An object can’t gain a subtype that doesn’t correspond to one of that object’s types.

    Its "yes" and "no"

you will put willbender into a graveyard before you could turn it face up

The controller of the spell or ability follows its instructions in the order written. However, replacement effects may modify these actions. In some cases, later text on the card may modify the meaning of earlier text (for example, "Destroy target creature. It can’t be regenerated" or "Counter target spell. If that spell is countered this way, put it on top of its owner’s library instead of into its owner’s graveyard.") Don’t just apply effects step by step without thinking in these cases—read the whole text and apply the rules of English to the text.

You put creatures in the graveyard later then put creatures on the battlefield, no matter if ferocious condition is met or not.
So no, your Nighthowler will not affect how the spell resolve.

    before flipping over

Can't find this on the Gatherer. There is "You determine whether the ferocious ability applies before any creature cards are put onto the battlefield." but you will have them revealed(this is what I mean, when I say "flipped over") by the time you carry out instruction possibly affected by ferocious replacement effect

You will get benefit from "Creature spells you control can't be countered" only if your Surrak Dragonclaw is at the battlefield at the time a counterspell(or an ability) resolves

PS will not trigger after EotS resolves as it explicitly says "casts a spell from his or her hand" which is not the case with spells cast with PS (player casts them from exile)

    Edit:
    Straight to your questions:
If they let PS resolve first, this then triggers EotS again.

If they let EotS resolve first, PS trigger still resolve.

    Thassa, God of the Sea

As long as your devotion to blue is less then five, Thassa permanent is not "Legendary Enchantment Creature - God", but "Legendary Enchantment". That's all the difference!

static abilities still work (as they also would on ordinary Legendary Enchantments)

Such permanents can't be targeted by "target creature" spells (as ordinary Legendary Enchantments)

In the final scenario, Doom Blade player has to wait combo player to start the combo, then destroy enchanted Exarch

    combo goes like this:
A player have Untaped Exarch enchanted with Splinter twin
Taps exarch, paying cost to activate ability granted by Splinter Twin to get token copy of itself
wants it to resolve, passing priority
when token copy enters the battlefield, chooses "untap" mode for it's ETB trigger, targets original exarch
wants it to resolve, passing priority

Now said player is in the same state as at the start of a combo, but have one extra token. I underlined weak spots of the combo, where Doom Blade player have to act and don't let it resolve. If he or she doom blades original exarch while it is taped (or tapped and targeted by triggered ability) combo player will be unable to rerun the combo. Basically, you are unable to prevent creation of at least one token, since exarch gets enchanted by Splinter Twin, but have a chance to stop the rest of the combo

  • posted a message on Mizzium Transreliquat and Equipment?
All you described is legal. It would be unattached if Mizzium Transreliquat turns into creature or changes into something what is neither aura, nor equipment that can legally be attached to what it is currently attached to

    Quote from 704.5q »
If a creature is attached to an object or player, it becomes unattached and remains on the battlefield. Similarly, if a permanent that’s neither an Aura, an Equipment, nor a Fortification is attached to an object or player, it becomes unattached and remains on the battlefield.

You'll keep control of a creature "for as long as you control Seasinger and Seasinger remains tapped"

Seasinger's ability have targeting restriction "target creature whose controller controls an Island", you fulfil this for targeting sake, there are no limitations in duration of control effect regarding Islands your opponent control

  • posted a message on Felidar Umbra and Spellskite interaction?
You retain control over Felidar umbra that is redirected to enchant spellskite. After aura enters the battlefield, you can activate it's ability to attach it to a different creature, and Spellskite ability can not prevent that as it reads in part "to target creature you control" (opponent's spellskite will be illegal target)

On the second question: opponent will be unable to change target to spellkite as that target is illegal for Daybreak Coronet while Spellskite is unenchanted

  • posted a message on Opponent view deck?
Maybe all this situation refers to behaviour we all can see in grand finals or major events, where each player actually do have complete decklist of each other's deck. This is done to set both players on even floor, where skill (and luck) will decide the outcome, not "who have better spy network" to spy over opponent's deck during other matches.

Maybe I'm overthinking the thing a bit, but I have a feeling this could be the case

  • posted a message on Searching for Zero cards
    2. Definitely, yes (but there can be some other cards with "you may search" worded such "if you did (search your library this way), ... shuffle...")
    3. You search in a zone, no matter how much cards are in it.
    4.
    Quote from CR 701.15f »
If searching a zone is replaced with searching a portion of that zone, any other instructions that refer to searching the zone still apply. Any abilities that trigger on a library being searched will trigger.
(somehow thought about Aven Mindcensor not Mindlock Orb or Leonin Arbiter, so read other answers about them)
