I really want to vote Osie and be done with it for this weird Tau/EtR read but I'm having some lingering doubts. Can anyone talk about it. Work is slow and I want to talk this through.
    i mean...
His whole tauroller stance is super scummy
And just throwing me in as mastermind is a thing ive seen scum do a bunch (town too of course i am kind of a mastermind)

Was thinking about etr as a buddy earlier but with his attitude coming in i dont want to read any spew really

Chris have you read the tau gambit (#378) and fallout/reactions yet?

Hmm. I concede the rest of my time as I am busy and it seems like everyone is set on Osie. I won't be able to solve the game properly at this juncture if I am wrong on this read, and I don't think people are willing to budge on Osie despite the reasons being somewhat varied and bad. For example Vaimes votes for Osi because "well Osi says they don't want to read the game" like... how is that a scum tell? We mislynched yesterday (well you guys did but I will TAKE OWNERSHIP of my slot) and it is now day 2 and we are lynching for such meh reasons. But it seems like a vast plurality of you are happy to do so, so I guess we'll see. I'll catch up over night and probably die a horrible death lmao.
if you still want to find and clear oddball townies, look for them in the pool of kami/tubba/ruma>vezok imo. Maybe etr>re or tau>highroller

I think one of Tubba/Kami is likely scum. Either could be, probably not both though
    why not both?
    Why not neither?

Yes i think the kami wagon was scummier than a pond in chernobyl.

No opinion on kami per se, but i strongly suspect hell be cleared by some scum flips

I just don't get the accusation being levied at the Tau slot here Osie. It's simultaneously that he was trying to spew his buddy tom clear, chain some townie deaths but he also was possibly getting manipulated by EtR. I'm just confused by what you think happened there and why it's such a red flag.

The way I see it is Tau got really excited about his chance to make a 1 in a million play, attempted it, thought he got rewarded, and then vanished. I'm inclined to believe this as his LnGrrrR "felt" real. His excitement while fake-able read genuine that barring compelling evidence otherwise I'm strongly inclined to read it as townie.

Anyway I just still don't get this quote:
Or EtR being the actual person to instigate the play but making Tau think it was their idea.

In this world are Tau, EtR, and Tom buddies? Or is it just EtR and Tom and they mindtricked Tau into this gambit? And if it is EtR why did he include a buddy with the two relative strongest town reads at the time and then attempt to walk it back?

There's two possibilities. I think the Tom + Tau + ETR world makes more sense to me personally, but the EtR+Tom world is not unreasonable whether or not Tau was tricked into the gambit.

    Oof, lets try that again:

Also of interest, his read on anak slot, in its entirety

Anak-Mindreaver slot is Lock!town because of Mindreaver being awesome.

Anaklusmos I don't really have a read on, to be honest. I could be wrong on Mindreaver. The only game I particularly remember of his is Avalon which was, well, Avalon.

But I did like Mindreaver's tone here. I read parts of some of his longer posts and found myself nodding along.

Why do you keep mentioning your (supposed) role when it literally means nothing?

Not hugely invested in the game, in case you couldn't tell, so it's one of the only pieces of info that I solidly have instead of just kinda limp-wristedly guessing at. If I was scum, I'd just ask my buddies to catch me up, but I don't have that luxury.

Like, yes i believe osi thinks that people should engage him rather than ignoring him for a poorly reasoned read on his predecessor.

But since hes doing that to highroller and ive shown how i didnt to him...

I think he genuinely feels doomed by Johnny and pissed about the slot but his alignment shouldn't matter for that.

Not sure what else feels that way to you other than talking about completed games or theory. But i cant imagine it being any of his actual stances on this game.

Can you get sucked in to something that primarily exists in your own mind?

No one has discouraged you from catching up. Im lynching your slot regardless, and i can see that being discouraging, but i pretty directly asked you to catch up. As have others since you opened the game saying you wouldnt...

Rod you may not have had great reads in those games, but in F&E you bled town, in pirates there was no way we (as scum) could convince town that you were scum, and to my recollection in Secret Neighbors you, despite Eco strongly suspecting you, fought tooth and nail and never came that close to dying. You may not be the type to crack a game wide open but you're really good at appearing townie when the occasion requires it.
    regardless of alignment!

Tom can I pull rank or something. Or am I too senile in my old age for you? Avoiding mislynching oddball town is like my specialty!
    i mean you can try

Though iirc im older and i certainly know osi AND johnny better than you

But im fine with osi looking townie if youre (ahem) reaching a bit to do so because stopping a mislynch is exactly the sort of the thing townchris would want to do replacing in.

But id need to see you convinced (and convincing) that johnny was town since thats the thing im convinced otherwise.
Osi is whatever, i can see a lot of scum motivation/mindset to his posts but not enough to make me this certain and largely circumstantial anyway
