This moves the needle for some. Me? I don’t have a use for JtMS and I’d rather save my money for a mint Revised Volcanic Island and Underground Sea then track down foil Woldwake JtMSs.
I’m more curious than anything about seeing what gets new art. I’m not jumping to conclusions that there could be new artwork of cards in this set, am I? That would be the only way I’ll buy singles (foils) from this set, depending on a case to case basis.
People spotted differences between the original 4th Edition printing and the domestic based Alternative 4th Edition prints. There would certainly be something Wizards missed reprinting Reserved list cards. They’d have to do a lot of very impressive reverse detective work to pull it off, not to mention the “secret” would eventually leak some other way.
If that’s who this is for, I’m kinda ok with it. There’s really nothing I’d buy packs for, I don’t play draft so that doesn’t register on my radar, there’s not a large number of cards I’d buy singles for, and for the most part I’d still track down the original foil printing in nearly all cases anyway. Really the only thing they can get me is if they do brand new art of the small card pool I’ll buy for.
I’ll pick up 4 foil Experimental Overloads for a possible Weird deck I might build someday. I don’t know what I want for Weird tribal, maybe a Weird lord that gives Weird creatures prowess.
This, the up-ticking of prowess up to deciduous, and maybe Animal Sanctuary are really the only positives I can take away from M2021.
Man, this is like Time Spiral block 2.0 for me, I'm drinking it all in like mad!!!
Back when I got my PhD, friends of mine who actually had no idea of Magic (but knew that I played) got their hands on an image of Barrin, Master Wizard and photoshopped my face on to him (there's a mild resemblance although I have a lot less hair and beard, but not nearly as grey...) and created a new textbox to mirror my own "wizardly" abilities in science. It was really a wonderful surprise.
Mark Rosewater mentioned had prowess stuck around as an evergreen keyword by the time Ikoria was developed and created there would have been headache issues had prowess been used as one of the keyword abilities. I don’t see any issues but then again I’m not a rules expert. Would there absolutely have been problems keeping track of prowess counters on the stack or something?

What do you have a PhD in?
