If you don't want certain strategies at your kitchen table, cry or stop playing until your playgroup changes the rules. Everywhere else: swallow it. Not everybody likes the same decks as you...bad luck.
Post above has been edited for what I hope the original speaker meant.
As for land destruction, run things like Life from the Loam to recur your land back to your hand after being blown up. Life from the Loam has got to be able to come back more than he can recur his land destruction, unless there is one I don't know about that fits on an Isochron Scepter...
Figured I'd do some the Booster Quest or whatever it is called.
First pack -
Commons:
Viashino Spearhunter
Unsummon
Veteran Armorsmith
Giant Growth (Cool, cause I collect these, and didn't have an M10 one yet.)
Vampire Aristocrat
Lightning Elemental
Regenerate
Convincing Mirate
Soul Warden
Yawning Fissure
Not entirely bad for the first pack. I am happy about the dual and Vanguard, thinking of making a weenie deck w. him, Savannah Lions and pumpers. But anyways. (Note: I am putting the cards back in the pack so that they can be drafted with at a later time.)
Question. Out of these packs, what would be your first draft pick, assuming it was Pack 1, Pick 1? For this first one, I'd say, with my minimal drafting experience, Awakener Druid.
Pack 2:
Mountain
Shivan Dragon
Nature's Spiral
Demon's Horn
Prized Unicorn
Burst of Speed
Bountiful Harvest
Acolyte of Xanthrid
Lifelink
Terramorhpic Expanse
Elvish Visionary
Child of Night
Panic Attack
Stampeding Rhino
Stormfront Pegasus
I'd take Shivan Dragon from this pack as P1P1, as P1P2, with Shivan gone, I'd take Elvish Visionary?
The second booster quest with this pack took two tries, but it was completed successfully.
And I did the third Booster Quest with this pack, which, oddly enough, is impossible. The Final Challenge reads:
To succeed at this challenge, roll a 7 or greater on your d6.
If your booster contains a card of converted mana cost 6 or greater, get a +2 on your roll.
If your booster contains a card with two plus signs in its rules text (e.g. "+1/+1"), get a +2 on your roll.
If your booster contains a rare or mythic rare creature or a planeswalker, get a +2 on your roll.
If you succeeded at this final challenge, and failed a maximum of one of the other challenges, you've completed this booster quest!
Seeing as how this pack has none of the "bonus" requirements, and you can't get a 7 on a d6, I fail! Time to try with a new pack...
Of course, if your opponent has a Force of Will in his/her openning draw....
Force of Will is irrelevant. You are "putting the card into play", rather than "casting" or "playing" the spell (or w.e M10 rules call it these days). I'm not sure there is a way to beat that deck other than that Future Sight card that kills a creature for free, then you have to pay next turn? But then you lose anyways...
Here is my U splash Enchantress list. Please tell me what you all think. It is somewhat of a budget list, but it does what it needs to more often than not.
As far as strategy/WinCon goes, this deck is very basic. Get dudes in there, swing for 20 life points before they do. First Strike is a big factor in combat in this deck, and has been very helpful in the few games I've played. Right now, this deck is just a random assortment of RW cards that seem to work well together, but there's no consistency. I don't need anything that will win tournaments, but I do want more from this concept.
Hello, all. I am new to MTG Salvation, but not new to MTG or to MTG forums.
My box of M10 is arriving tomorrow, and rather than just ripping packs (which is fun, don't get me wrong), I figured I'd do a few casual booster drafts, some Pack Wars, a sealed game, etc.
I was wondering what you all do to make the most of your packs. I am open to any and all ideas! Just looking to make the most of my purchase.

Horned Turtle
Centaur Courser
Pacifism
Coral Merfolk

Lightning Bolt (Win)
I'd take Acidic Slime from this pack.

This only works as many times as you can pay G, right? I would say use Celestial Dawn, but it would make your Serra's Sanctum a Plains...
Land/Mana Sources - 22
4 Plains
6 Forest
2 Flagstones of Trokair (If I play one with one already in play, do I fetch two plains or just one?)
2 Serra's Sanctum
1 Flooded Strand
1 Hallowed Fountain
1 Temple Garden
1 Brushland
4 Utopia Sprawl
Essentials - 15
3 Solitary Confinement
4 Sterling Grove
4 Enchantress's Presence
2 Argothian Enchantress
1 Mesa Enchantress (Working on more Argothians)
1 Veduran Enchantress (see above card)
Things - 23
3 Oblivion Ring
1 Seal of Cleansing
1 Seal of Primordium
2 Pursuit of Knowledge (Question. If I have 3 Enchantress's Presence's in play, and I play this, can I use the card draws from playing this to put counters on itself?)
1 Enlightened Tutor
1 Idyllic Tutor (Too often do I start to draw lots of cards, and run out of Enchantments to play with only an Enlightened Tutor in my hand. This should solve that problem by being able to get either a combo piece or just something else to play straight into my hand)
2 Exploration
2 Replenish (Love this card)
1 Words of Worship (Not so sure about this one anymore, by the time I start going off and get it in play, it seems useless. Could use with Test of Endurance, though)
1 Words of Wind
1 Words of Wilding
2 Cloud of Faeries
1 Sacred Mesa
1 Ghostly Prison
1 Elephant Grass
2 Angel's Grace
Many, many different ways to win with this deck. Perhaps I should just pick one and stick with it? Well, have one main WinCon with a solid back-up...
Love the Ascension that makes Angel tokens. Might use that from now on.
EDIT: Forgot the Sideboard.
Sideboard:
1 Karmic Justice
1 Replenish
1 Oblivion Ring
1 Seal of Primordium
2 Tormod's Crypt
2 Choke
3 Sacred Ground
4 Ground Seal
Land/Mana Sources - 17
7 Plains
7 Mountain
3 Boros Signet
Creatures -24
4 Boros Recruit
3 Boros Swiftblade
2 Thundersong Trumpeter
3 Boros Guildmage
3 Skynight Legionnaire
3 Flame-Kin Zealot
2 Sunhome Enforcer
2 Agrus Kos, Wojek Veteran
2 Razia, Boros Archangel
Distuption/Damage/Sunforger Targets - 9
2 Lightning Helix
2 Lightning Bolt
1 Flames of the Blood Hand
2 Rally the Righteous
2 Condemn
Other - 10

Comments and thoughts would be appreciated.
What exactly is a Winston Draft?
