Through the Breach > Protean Hulk > 4X Disciple of the Vault > 4X Hangarback Walker = 16 damage + 6 from Protean Hulk attack. Can also use some number of Blood Artists, Ornithopter, Memnite, and Viscera Seer for redundancy. Footsteps of the Goryo as another way to abuse Protean Hulk for lethal.

Seems like a decent start to a modern combo deck. Can also abuse both the new Liliana and Liliana of the Veil for disruption. And of course you could potentially just cast this for 2-4 and sac it a bunch of times instead of using it to combo.

I think the Hedron Crab kill might be better (except when you're playing against Tron, of course).

    You just search for

Yes you seem to like very plain/boring lands that show nothing at all, no landmarks, no focus XD

He likes panoramic art pieces, rather than pieces with specific points of focus. There's nothing wrong with that.

I love this Plains, personally. It just looks so verdant and wonderful to explore.

Just an FYI everyone, Junk Rites was a tier 1 deck even while Rest in Peace, Grafdigger's Cage, Ground Seal, and Deathrite Shaman were legal. An Aether Vial activation is a MAY, Collected Company says UP TO TWO (meaning you can choose zero), however the player with Goryo's Vengeance or Through the Breach doesn't have a choice.

You don't have to put anything to play with Through the Breach. The reason? There's no way to prove that you even have a creature in hand to put into play.

That's why it's been errata'd to an optional effect, just like Gifts Ungiven has been errata'd to say "Search your library for UP TO four cards with different names."

So I didn't see a thread for discussing these, but ... I was so sad to see them. I wasn't expecting anything too fancy, not full arts or snow lands or anything like that. In fact, I did think the lands would represent the planes each Planeswalker visited. That turned out to be true, so we get two Lorwyn Forests and two Zendikar Forests, for instance.

But they're just so plain. So unremarkable. The Plains are the worst. Alara had some great lands, but the Bant Plains and Grixis Swamps left a lot to be desired. And sure enough, we get those boring Bant Plains. Ravnica has some great lands, some great Islands, even, and we got the most boring one. I found the DTK lands to be farsuperior, and they were not built up like this.

I guess I'm just disappointed. Did anyone else feel this way?

Bruh. The Kaladesh Mountains and Vryn Islands are gorgeous.

The book looks nice, but that style of cards man I don't see it. They look downright repulsive to me.

Galspanic is going to have a field day with all of these Wayne Reynolds illustrations.

Deathmist triggers go on the stack, you respond to those triggers with Moonlight, Raptors get exiled when they try to enter. Once those triggers are on the stack, you have made the choice where it says "may" in the ability.

You choose to return them upon resolution of the trigger.

603.5. Some triggered abilities' effects are optional (they contain "may," as in "At the beginning of your upkeep, you may draw a card"). These abilities go on the stack when they trigger, regardless of whether their controller intends to exercise the ability's option or not. The choice is made when the ability resolves.

Aw, with a name like that, I was hoping the effect would be something cooler than just another Cranial Extraction effect.

Buy your tarmogoyfs before Temur twin makes him expensive.

You mean to say that Tarmogoyf isn't already expensive?
