"someone (Jeremy) had the audacity to criticize someone (Christine)and Criticism is Not Harassment no matter how some people wish to construe it as such."
Jeremy went far beyond objective criticism and publicly persecuted Christine for nearly a year. He may not have personally hounded her with hateful private messages, but his actions directly resulted in months of direct online harassment from his fan base. You can't seriously look at all the crap Jeremy said and not call it harassment. When you hold that much influence over such a large congregation of people, you have a basic responsibility to not give them the idea that these sorts of heinous actions are socially acceptable. He could have easily criticized Christine without his plethora of disparaging personal remarks against her, and without encouraging thousands of his followers to constantly flame her. The fact that he did do these things, and unapologetically so, is what makes it harassment.
"The protests, mobs, riots all a sign that someone is incapable of accepting the opinion of others."
You mean accepting the opinion that bullying, harassing, and dehumanizing innocent human beings is okay? Yeah no, that sort of mentality has no place in our society, and entertaining that line of thinking will only hold us back as a species.
"someone who disagreed with the Nazi party during there rain ended up at best in a concentration camp at worst with a bullet in there head."
If you think the experience of a Nazi concentration camp is the best case scenario compared to a quick and painless death, then I can't even fathom how detached you are from reality. I encourage you to quantum-leap into the body of an emaciated Jewish concentration camp prisoner circa 1944 and ask yourself, "Is this better than not suffering at all?"
"but the moment you stop respecting the opinion of others and start attacking, harassing them, posting there personal info and calling for a public lynching joust because thy sad something you don't agree with, that is the point I stop respecting you, that is the point you have become a Nazi"
Is that not exactly what Jeremy did?
"people can not differentiate between Nazi and centre right"
Actually, as the years have progressed, our Overton Window has been shifting steadily to the right. Democratic socialism (a mild leftist ideology) has become regarded as far-left, and centrism has become regarded as center-left. On the other side, traditional conservatism has shifted to the center of America's political spectrum, with semi-fascist ideologies occupying the moderate- to far-right.
In other words, the more that neo-Nazi ideologies become normalized and accepted as a valid political platform, the closer the center right drifts toward Nazism.
I don't call right-thinkers Nazis. I call Nazis Nazis. I know a lot of Trump voters with opinions that I strongly disagree with, and I don't call them Nazis because they're not Nazis. They don't believe in things like a one-party government or ethnic cleansing or the removal of basic human rights (except maybe health care, but that's an entirely different can of worms), so I can't in good conscience call them Nazis.
Do I think Jeremy is a Nazi? Not at the moment, because he hasn't shown me any reason to think he's a Nazi. But I do think he's a scumbag with a startling lack of empathy for other humans, and that his career as a psychologically abusive and hate-mongering content creator should be completely and utterly destroyed.
I aim to please!
And I actually managed to pull it off today!
We had a five-player game going, but the remaining three were Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, Ezuri, Renegade Leader, and my own Darien, King of Kjeldor. Ezuri has an obscene amount of mana and pours it all into a Genesis Wave, so I simply tap my last remaining Plains and say, "Mana Tithe?"
Ezuri's face hit the table so hard, and Teferi couldn't breathe for several minutes.
After that, my friends all make sure they leave one extra mana open for their big game-winning spells.
So in the next game, Ezuri goes for Genesis Wave again, even though Teferi has two blue mana open. He makes sure that he has one land untapped, so Mana Tithe won't save us this time.
Teferi asks me, "Hey, do you have Mana Tithe in hand?"
Me: "Uh, maaaaybe?"
Teferi: "Play it, play it!"
Me: "Wha- why?"
Teferi: "Just trust me, dude!"
Me: "Okay, Mana Tithe."
Teferi: "TWINCAST!"
Me: "On... Genesis Wave?"
Teferi: "No no, Mana Tithe!"
Me: "Why...?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!"
Teferi: "Because this is a lot funnier! If I copied Genesis Wave, that would be boring."
Ezuri: "...I hate you all."
I love my playgroup.
I think he was talking about his opponent Moonlacing one of his own creatures so it could block and kill Kaalia.
Well, half of zero is zero.
So, you wouldn't get any tokens.
Yup, this is true. From recent sets, we have Poison the Well, Drain the Well, Demolish, Tectonic Rift, and Melt Terrain, among others.
And we can't forget that the 13-damage spell that Mark Rosewater mentioned is supposed to hit multiple targets.
Aren't seven- and eight-mana spells supposed to close out games? Especially mythic ones? If you open one of these, draw it in a game, get enough mana to play it, and manage to make it stick while not dying, then you deserve to win that game.
The word "broken" just kinda rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's because I've heard people in my casual playgroup use it to describe so many cards, including terrible ones like Telepathy.
But then I realized that 26 points of untapped power for eight mana would be stupid, and I loved it again.
It's big, bomby, and beautiful. Just what I love to see in a preview card.
Fixed that for ya.
Also, IT KEEPS HAPPENING
Nope. Igor Kieryluk did the art for Cloistered Youth, but this art was done by Howard Lyon.
Careful, the Buy-a-Box promo was done by Raymond Swanland!
Why is this line here? It doesn't do anything.
(inb4 "No, it does nothing.")
Crap, I've been needing a Doubling Season, too. There goes even more of mah moneyz.
I'm assuming that the guy specializes in still portraits, based on his previous pieces. It would also explain why he's been chosen to do the art for more than one Invitational card, along with most of the Moxen. (Moxes?)
Anyway, I can let the guy off the hook.
I think giving your Bobs the ability to trade with Tarmogoyfs would make a pretty significant difference.
I run it in mono-white in the hopes that one day, I'll be able to troll the hell out of someone who taps out for a huge game-winning spell.
Once I accomplish this, I will immediately remove it from my deck and replace it with something that's actually useful.
A double-faced card's color identity is based on both sides, huh... That's what I was unsure of.
Uh, they do see it...? Just because they haven't mentioned it doesn't mean it was overlooked.
I don't see any -2 ability on him, nor do I see how he's a plainswalker.
It's weird for her to saunter down a flight of stairs while conjuring a spell with the Veil? I can sort of see what you're talking about.
I don't really mind the digital look of the piece. I actually kind of dig it.
It would appear that there are different aspects that people focus on when looking at this art. The people who like it (such as myself) are impressed by the level of detail put into it, the vividness of the colors, the cleanliness of the lines, etc., and the people who don't like it see it as a staged, overexaggerated depiction of a character wearing an overly detailed, impractical outfit with little emphasis on the Veil (which is kinda true).
As far as art goes, it's pretty damn good. When serving as the portrayal of Liliana on a playing card, however, it could be better. It has all of the basic requisites to be a character portrait, but a little more emphasis on the Veil would have been nice.
But who knows, maybe the art description that Mr. Argyle received instructed him to put the Veil in her hand rather than on her face? It would make sense, since the card art is meant to focus on the person first, accessories second. It would also let the viewer know that the accompanying rules text on the card is supposed to be Liliana with the Veil, rather than Liliana using the Veil.
Yeah, that sounds pretty tough.
Unfortunately, all of the Fact or Fiction splits I've witnessed have been fairly uninteresting (a couple lands and some removal, mostly).
I agree. Hive Mind's Pacts are free anyway, and can also be used to protect the combo or stay alive (Pact of Negation your counterspell, flash a blocker in with Pact of the Titan, kill your creature with Slaughter Pact, use Intervention Pact to survive an extra turn).
With this deck, no such luck. Without Rooftop Storm online, you just have a bunch of dead cards in hand.
...Now with that said, I really want this to work. Let's make it happen!
