Can I get an estimate for the value of a foil Chinese Sensei's Divining Top? I have had this for years, picked it up for about $12 originally. The only basis I have for estimating its value is that the English foils are around $90 on ebay for sold listings, and there are a few Japanese foil ones on there for near to $500 (no info on actual sold listings, though). Can't find any listings at all for them in Chinese, though. But I figure that the value should be somewhere in between the English and Japanese ones, but that's a pretty big range.

    150-180.

Those are just printing errors. They are not test prints or anything like that.

If you line them up with a real Revised card, they will generally be off by a little bit in one dimension or another. I have a miscut Rocket Launcher/Volcanic Eruption that's probably as old as the Wheel/Geddon, and a Volcanic/Vesuvan that dates back to 2006 or so. My theory is that someone cut up at least a rare sheet way back in the day.

The Mahamoti/Volcanic is cut from a sheet. The Wheel/Geddon was most likely cut from a sheet as well--I am fairly certain that someone cut up at least a Revised rare sheet some years back.

I think the big problem with any card that's been signed and altered by Richard when talking about a cash value is pretty simple....unlike many of the other rarer sigs/alters from other artists out there he's more then willing to "freely" grab a pen and jot something down for a fan.

Right, but he's pretty hard to find, from what I've seen. I have run across Garfield once, and got a few cards signed. He seemed cool.

Are there any hall of famers that are native to Madagascar?

Is 50% of the world's population from Madagascar?

I would also look at some of the comic books too you might find a few gems in those too. Old issues of Batman and Superman can net a 50-100$

Almost all comic books are worthless, and $.50 each is way high on this stuff. Maybe a dime apiece, if that. There's no way that the OP is going to have any idea what's good, and selling comics is fairly difficult anyway, for the most part.

If owning a card makes you uncomfortable because you fear it being reprinted, just sell it.

Wasn't the bend test pretty much only in existence to check for rebacked Collectors Edition?

    Yes.

I can't imagine people doing that much anymore, with the value for a CE P9 being around 300.00

CE P9 are only worth $50-200 apiece, and I'm sure there are still people busily rebacking it.

Bad fake. Looks like a blank card that went through a printer or something.

All the P3K good stuff will be reprinted sooner or later. Wizards went from having nothing decent reprinted, to doing Imperial Recruiter, Loyal Retainers, Xiahou Dun, Overwhelming Forces, and now Strategic Planning, all over just a few years. Not to mention all the less interesting stuff like Sun Quan and what-not. All the other good stuff, both high and low value, will be reprinted soon enough.

    That's because I'm pretty sure it's impossible.
From what little printing/cutting experience I have, and the fact that everything is unknown with the process- wouldn't it make most sense that sheets are cut with a guillotine-style cutter? Essentially one giant blade, almost like a giant cookie cutter, coming down and cutting every card from the sheet at once? (Although this doesn't explain square corners but...)

There are legitimate Alpha-cut Revised, Ice Age, and 4th edition cards, and probably more.

The "track marks" are print lines--they're very common on Unlimited rares, and are the result of pallets being stacked on top of each other and denting the cards.

the signed lotus looks almost alpha cut, which was possible back then, it wasn't exactly common but it wasn't rare either.

I've never heard of or seen an Alpha-cut Unlimited card. Ever.

Shahrazad another target of scg buyouts. the thing was $5 for years

Actually, that's not true. It has been at least $20-30 for many years. Starcity has nothing to do with it.

Looks like it hasn't been $5 since at least 1995. I recall buying them at 20-30 at least 7-8 years ago. My miscut one cost like $70 on eBay.

Young Pyromancer is being played in Vintage Gush decks right now. It's debatable how good it is, but it's pretty popular and that's helping drive the price.
