RTR gave us Goblin Electromancer (which does more for the combo than Remand) and other decks Abrupt Decay. So yeah, no Remands.
I see, sorry for my ignorance. It's been Avacyn Restored since I really looked into Storm. I don't usually play against it either since people tend to prefer Splinter Twin combos or Pod strategies in my area. I recently picked up the stuff to rebuild storm, so I figured why not. How does the deck fare against the Rock? What is the answer to their disruption spells?
Because remand is reactive and is not great in multiples. Just drawing a card is usually better.
I see, I used to play the older versions of this deck in Modern. Didn't realize they cut Remand, it just seemed to good not to cut. So has this deck turned into a more all in dedicated combo deck?
Not sure how I did on this since it was an impulse buy, but thoughts on this considering prices for Modern U fetches.
Pile A
$215
Pile B
4 Misty Rainforest
I haven't really seem them less then $60-$65. It seemed like a good prices to me. What does everyone speculate fetches will be at post reprint should that happen within the next year or so?
The price you paid is around average for the high end FB group right now, which means that you definitely didn't overpay. The prices there are around the best you can do on many cards.
FB group? Is there a group on Facebook I am not aware of? You'll have to excuse me, I have been out of the mtgsalvation community for a while due to a break from the game. I am still getting used to the new layout and the curse logo lol.
@NoirLamia
My best guess is Modern Masters 2 for Karn and maybe a core set release or future commander product for Filter lands.

Can I get some more opinions on this? I am still not too sure if I acted too brashly in hopes of scoring a deal on fetches.
I like pile A here honestly. While the cards are not as liquid, pile B is probably going to get reprinted in the near future (within the next year or so I imagine).

Hi Folks, new playing to this deck and I was wondering: what about siding 4 Splinter Twin and 4 Deceiver Exarch?
It's just an idea. Haven't tested yet, but lot's of people side removal out game 2. Yeah, G/Bx may stick to Abrupt Decay one or two times but it's surprise value is pretty decent. I would love to see my opp face when playing a Exarch EOT followed by a twin in you Main Phase,
Any Thoughts?
Two card combos are hard to pull off vs BGx. It's a bad idea.
You may be right. But we have lot's of Cantrips so finding 3 Combo Cards (Exarch/Twin/Shift), shouldn't be that problem.
Besides, I think Exarch will help you stalling until turn 5/6 when playing against aggro, specially when they don't expect it. It can for example tap one of the lands your opp has untapped for something he wants to play when you want to cast Scapeshift or Twin safely in your own turn.
Against burn, you will be a lot faster going off and you don't have to stall turns.
I may be wrong but I am willing to test it in my SB.
For now, I started to play te list which won the GP.
I think my Sb will look like this:
4 Splinter Twin
4 Deceiver Exarch
1 Spellskite
1 Vendilion Clique
1 Ancient Grudge
1 Swan Song
1 Batterskull
1) Is sacrificing lands part of Scapeshift's cost?
2) If the answer to the above question is no, can a player cast Shadow of Doubt in response after you have already sacrificed lands?
How many Telling Time to people usually play? I tried 1 and found that I really like it. Not sure if I would play more then two though . . . thoughts on this spell lineup?
4 Cryptic
4 Remand
4 Peer through the Depths
4 Search for Tomorrow
3 Izzet Charm
2 Repeal
2 Farseek
2 Electroylyze
1 Telling Time
I really want to add another Telling Time, but I am not sure what to take out. Should I even bother?
Why is it I am rarely seeing Peer through Depths and Serum Visions in the same list? They seem like they should be fine together, is there any reason people play one over the other? I was going to throw this deck together since I really like the style of the deck, but the numbers on those two cards confuse me. What's the usual stock list that's up to date (the ones in the primer seem to be a few years old).
Thoughts on Mox Opal? I picked up a set for $175. It sounded like a solid investment, will suck if they reprint it in the next year or so though. What does everyone think are the chances of a reprint for Mox? I figured low being that Wizards is not keen on reprinting "Mox" cards and hates to print free mana cards. Even so, $175 is cheaper then the usual $240 they go for.
I think it's a prime reprint target for Modern Masters 2, which should come out ~1 year from now? No one knows for sure though.
Provided it does get reprinted again at Mythic rarity, about how much do you think it will settle at? I am hoping I didn't lose too much should they get reprinted.
