So, Mental Misstep is banned. Interesting. I expect there will be some financial ramifications beyond the immediate one...

SO MANY DECKS ARE REAL AGAIN...I'M SO EXCITED. GOBLINS HERE I COME! Seriously though, look for cards like Exploration, Goblin Lackey, Goblin Piledriver, Manabond, and so on to make a serious resurgence. Basically, think of your favorite deck that Misstep screwed over, and the key cards in that deck will probably rise in price.

Is there a single tier 1 deck in Modern that isn't affected by this?

Let me throw another question into the mix here: what about immediate demand? What if I have a stock of standard staples that people need right before an FNM? Is it acceptable to trade them a $2 card for a $5 card, because they need that $5 card right now? Also, another piece of advice for traders. The one thing that is music to a shark's ears is "Oh my god, that card is so cool, I've needed that for like months." NEVER say that when trading, even if you do need it. Just play it cool, know your values, and you should do fine.

I'll definitely be adding Reaper of the Abyss and Moldergraf Monstrosity to my Teneb list, but unfortunately I don't see a single thing in Innistrad my Arcum list would want.

I have a near complete char belcher deck, save one LED(Thats including a Taiga)
I was thinking about selling it so I could buy some duals. I know it would be easier to sell it in pieces but would I actually get more out of it?

You should probably just piece it out. Belcher is not really a popular deck, and I sincerely doubt you'd find someone that wants to play Belcher badly enough to buy the whole deck. However, many of the individual pieces in the deck are good in other decks and are easy to get rid of (LED, Taiga, Rituals, Lotus Petals, etc.) so you should probably do it that way

I don't really see this at all. In fact, I see a trend towards people, at least in my age group (18-21) dressing pretty nicely, with button down shirts, khakis, and so on. I think it's more about when people figure out what they want to do and what's expected of their appearance. When you start going in for job/internship interviews, you learn to dress respectably and in a way that belies intelligence

I'd guess Untamed Might, Mutagenic Growth x 2. This seems like the most likely scenario that would arise.

Edit: Never mind, I'm an idiot. Didn't read no pumps

For the record, the one card I know of that Ken Nagle designed specifically for EDH is Wrexial, the Risen Deep. There's an article somewhere on the mothership talking about how Ken got sick of people who just chained a bunch of Time Warp type stuff, so he set out to design a general to punish them severely.

It's not quite like Browbeat (which, incidentally, they should really reprint at some point). The problem is a little different. What would happen with Neck Snap is that you could try to ambush your opponent's creature with it, and your opponent would not attack with that creature, and you just wasted a turn. So you couldn't safely leave the 4 mana open after all, which meant you could never safely cast Neck Snap.

If you play StM, you will never get Time Walked just because you tried to use your removal spell. If it's usable, you will know. If it's unusable, you will know that too.

Browbeat was a time-shifted card in Time Spiral, but that's besides the point. People are going crazy with comparisons on this card. Yes, it is conditional, but the condition is not really a particularly harsh one. Most of the time you're going to need a removal spell, it's going to be on something with power 4 or greater. We haven't seen the whole set so far, but if the set's full of conditional removal, well, that isn't exactly the worst thing in the world. It's nice to sometimes not have removal be the best it possibly can be, because it forces more interesting game play decisions. For example, people loved RGD block, and much of the removal there wasn't exactly the best ever printed. Being able to unconditionally kill everything your opponent played wasn't really something that was very common, so you had to make smarter play decisions to be able to deal with the threats your opponents presented. This sort of thing makes for a more interesting format. For the record, I think StM will be a solid 5th pick level card.

We've all made bad trades, the key is to learn from them and move past them. I've been ripped off plenty of times, and I've also ripped people off. It's a cycle, it happens. Sometimes both parties misvalue a card, sometimes your trading partner wants a bunch of your smaller cards and will give you a straight up trade for their bigger card, sometimes you're unaware that a card spiked. The worst trade I've made that I can remember was my Engineered Explosives and Vedalken Shackles for 2 Goblin Guides. That trade was pretty terrible at the time, and it's even worse now. But I took those Goblin Guides and leveraged them towards a Tundra, which I gained value on in the long term. Yeah, you got ripped off, but its not the end of the world. Just realize what happened, know your prices, and move on.

I feel fairly confident in saying that if Heartless Summoning sees play, it would be in a combo deck, or rather one that is combo-esque. You can't just play good cards with Heartless Summoning, you have to play a strongly synergistic engine, full of creatures that really don't care about the -1/-1. Either way, I think the card is a poor investment right now, but could be ok later. Even if the deck becomes a player, there is NO way that the card will be worth $5. Best case scenario is that it becomes a $3 roleplayer. There will be too much Innistrad opened for the card to ever have any hope of maintaining a $5+ price tag.

Looks like Flooded Strand but could be Skycloud Expanse maybe?

I just checked both of the arts side by side to see if there was any possible insight...they look practically identical (Strand and Expanse). Literally no way to tell which it is unless you ask, which is probably a bad idea.

I don't understand how this is something to watch out for. If I am looking for cards, and a dealer is offering $6 for what I have, and a trader is offering $6 in trade for the same thing, I'm very likely going to go to the trader first. Two reasons: no middle man, and I can often leverage the dealer's prices against the trader to get a better deal.

All I'm saying is that a lot of people don't realize that bulk rares are as good as cash. Based on that, you can leverage a better deal out of your bulk.

It seems quite worthless. There's also a Capsize, obv several basic lands, and others commons/uncommons (a Shackles maybe?). Yes, there could be something good, but placing a single fetchland near a pile with an old useful uncommon seems a thing a person with enough knowledge of prices would do.
As others said, I doubt more than 30$ could be there. If you feel lucky, 50$. Otherwise, don't make offers before seeing the lot.

But who knows, maybe you'll find all the Kamigawa stuff recently exploded. ^^

I mean, I can't really think of a way that this organization structure is sketchy. This is probably the most common way for someone to organize their collection, splitting up the colors, basic land types, artifacts, and non-basic lands. There's always the issue of how much to read into organization of collection, but I don't actually buy collections, so I don't really know what ends up being the case. It looks like a small collection that will probably get you your $30 back with what's immediately visible.
