i know that skyshroud poacher and moggcatcher are just red/green versions of rebel/mercenary but I wouldn't mind if there is a blue version for searching merfolks.
It exists as Seahunter! "This week on Dangerous Catch..."
Personally, I'd like more abilities that utilize lands or lands with spell-like abilities. Example: Worm Harvest (actually, just more Retrace please!)Though I still am a huge fan of Worm Harvest + Vault of the Archangel, mini-Wurmcoil Engines everywhere!
Personally, I'd love to see them print something like Hydra Omnivore and/or expand on the multiplayer politics aspect of the format. Just not Join Forces, nobody here played with it unless it was straight pre-con deck.
I believe Collector's Cache is the closest to you but I'm unsure if it does EDH/Commander nights. I know Action Sports (up by Antioch/Gladstone) has their night on Tuesdays and The Basement Games & Hobbies (off 64th street I believe) has theirs on Tuesday as well but that one is just getting back up and running.
Overall, there isn't any really cutthroat players in the area up here and everyone is very willing to help out! I'm trying to rebuild my Mayael deck so I can start playing again.
Besides my Child of Alara land deck, the most fun and memorable games have come from the mono-red Norin deck. I would contest that with White being more defensive as a color, it would be a bit harder but it's very close and points can be made for both sides.
Not to mention that with Mana Crypt, you can pull off the first turn Teferi's Puzzle Box. I've managed it twice and both times half the table scooped while the other half and I had a blast!
Crop Rotation. So much to be done with just lands that it's one of the more powerful tutors in 56 land.dec.
I also love Demonic Consultation, usually naming Swamp. But if it's something I need to survive, I can get it. If it's in the top six cards, everyone's laughing. Worst case scenario, I miss out on a few turns before the game is over. I punch those odds into my calculator and it makes a happy face.
In my Mayael deck, I dont like revealing what is in my hand since I usually have a bunch of topdeck manipulation to Mayael it (yes, the action of using Mayael's ability is now a verb :P) into play. The deck runs 25 fatties, so I will do the math in the morning on the probably of mana production out of if, but will definitely have to try it out though, potential T4 Primetime is nothing to sneeze at, plus it's Sun Titanable. It's not 100% dead topdeck since there are many ways to turn it into something else.
If I do put it in, it may be the push I need to also put in Natural Order. So many cards to test with Avacyn Restored's release x.x
Sometimes you have to be THAT person. You know, the one that has to have the answer so everyone doesn't die on the spot because they want to have an arms race or just don't pack wraths.
Me: "It's that time again."

Random Guy: "Pat, I'd like to buy a vowel!"
Store Owner: "Wrong wheel."
Me: "Actually, it IS the right wheel. Wheel! Of! Fortune!"
Normally Unhinged lands for most of my decks, unless it's mono, which gets snow-covered. Nothing too unusual. The unusual part is my newest mono-colored decks are running P3k basic lands for "that extra pimpness".
It depends on a two factors: the colors of your deck and your budget.
Emeria, the Sky Ruin is easiest to activate in mono-white and 5 color decks with all duals/fetches.
In W/G, it's easier since Green lets you fetch basics more easily, so you can get away with a lower number of basic Plains since ramp spells can equate to Plains. Depending on how much Green you actually need, at least 10 need to be Plains (with the 2 duals for W/G). You can also run Kor Cartographer and Karmic Guide/Reveillark shenanigans to strip Plains out of the deck. (Shame Kor Cartographer wasn't 3 cmc for Sun Titan )
I would actually contest it's hardest to get Emeria active in a two-color deck vs a mono, tri, or 5 color deck, due to only 2 duals that count as Plains.
It really just takes some tweaking with the numbers to get that perfect number, but it is a land people have learned to fear in my 5 color Child of Alara deck. So remember to have ways to get Emeria back since people WILL destroy it on sight after a while.
I enjoy spoiler season, it's like Christmas every few months.
Honestly people, not every card is going to be standard playable, there are other formats. I was a standard player and moved to just EDH because I got tired of cutthroat games (well that and I work at a card shop where my days off are EDH tournaments ).
Avacyn was probably designed flavorfully, so it makes sense that she is expensive but gives everything you control indestructible. I'm going to pick one up on the release for Mayael EDH, because auto-indestructible > WW: Target indestructible.
