While catching up on people's thoughts, I'll post my own.

Enchantments as the curse and pinger doesn't seem entirely efficient. If anything Talons of Falkenrath would at least be interesting. A flash firebreathing could help defensively and offensively.

As for Phyrexian Metamorph, that's a bloody brilliant idea.. I like that.

Here's my decklist changed up a bit.

Some things I changed from my previous decklist was to add in the Daybreak Rangers and Phyrexian Metamorphs. Got rid of a little of the ramp.

Also changed the draw from Tezzeret's Gambit to Hunter's Insight. Considering how big the wolves can get, Hunter's Insight can practically reload our hands if need be.

With such a low-cost mana curve, the mana ramp is overkill. You don't want to be casting two spells a turn very often, so the Birds, Scorned Villager, Rampant Growth and Caravan Vigil are all things that aren't really necessary. The Birds, perhaps, could be useful for acceleration, but there's a ton of needless ramp in this list.

Swiftfoot Boots may not be a bad idea, you should let us know how that works out for you. I'm not sure about Gambit. Card draw usually shouldn't be too awful a problem, since you won't likely want to play a lot of spells most turns.

Pyreheart Wolf might not be bad, I'm not sure how he'll play out. I'm not a fan of Wolfbitten Captive at all. Your deck would definitely be strengthened by adding in Kruin Outlaw and Instigator Gang.

Also, this could become a potential staple of the deck: Feed the Howlpack

I understand the view on the mana ramp. It may or may not be necessary with the low cost of everything.

My thoughts are that once Everwolf is out and is swifted, you become free to cast however many spells you want.

Although I could change out the Rampant/Caravan Vigil for 2 and 2 of Kruin Outlaw and Instigator Gang, make it a little more offensive. Or I could do 2 instigator with 2 Urabrask for the extra support.

With Gambit, I wasn't sure either, but I think this deck needs card draw to keep going. You'll end up with not much of a hand with the low cost and will want to have Moonmist in your hand as quickly as possible for extra defensive precautions.

Pyreheart is a here and there card.. He's persistent for two turns though, which could change up a lot even though we have a Werewolf that does similar.

With Feed the Pack, I really don't see it becoming a staple, not for this deck. By the time you cast that on T5-T6 you already want to be well ahead of your game. And saccing your stuff could cause conflict for weaker creatures.
Even though that won't stop me from making an alternate token deck with Feed the Pack + Parallel Lives.

Hi there fellow wolfie fans! So... apparently in me browsing this forum, i never even saw this thread and posted mine in it's own thread.. but here's what I put together:

So with the decklist, the purpose of the deck is to ramp up and rush out to assault as quickly as possible.

Considering the biggest mana curve with this deck is at the cost of 4, it should not be too difficult to take control of most situations.

I had a few cards to choose from that I had considered using:

Urabrask the Hidden, mainly because he produced haste, and an extra support of defense by tapping opponents creatures. But I chose to drop him due to the mana curve being raised slightly higher.

Garruk, Primal Hunter, is an option of itself. Allows more draw, as well certain benefits, but overall found that for the decks purpose, it may not fit well into it. It might even hinder it a bit as an unneeded draw.

Mutagenic Growth, which I had seriously considered as an option. Who wouldn't love to assault with a big bad wolfbitten captive on T3 and just stack them for near lethal. But coming to realize it would burn out the deck faster, probably was not a good idea either. (Miss Vines of vastwood though. XD)

Overall though, i think the deck has great potential. It has some draw from Tezzeret's Gambit (although if G/R gets some kind of decent draw, I might switch to it), some protection with Swiftfoot which if used on just a couple of wolves, will more than likely seal the deal. Along with the protection from Full Moon/Moonmist. And plenty to rip opponents apart.

I'm just looking for others views, what they think, what more, if anything can be done to the deck, how it will play out. I will be testing this deck out near immediately if possible when DKA releases.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and for any valuable insight I shall receive!

Parallel Lives, Feed the Pack, plus any token generator is useful enough. Good with Master of the Wild Hunt especially.. but too bad he's not STD.. lol

Hey hey everyone. well, DKA finally drew me back into the magic world, so here I am trying to get the (currently known cards) deck put together. While I understand there are a lot more cards to be spoiled, it's better to have a starting point than none at all.

First things first, here is the current deck list I'm working on:

Hey hey everyone. I know I'm not around much anymore but with the thrill of DKA and wolfies, I've been put in a situation where I really REALLY want to play more magic, thus actually trying to make a deck (from what we know so far).

Basically, I'm trying to go for a Wolf Ramp Rush Assault type combo. After all, no one sees them coming until it's too late.

This is a rough draft of what I'm trying to aim for..
First and foremost is to get the mana out and onto the field.
Typical T1s will be mana + bird or captive.
Then we go for more mana, boosted captive, maybe some mutagenic growths to stack and slay your oppnents face off.

If we go the bird route, I can play Everwolf on T2, just in hopes of being able to rush out. Given I'll be able to have a lot out on the field but I know the decks biggest weakness would be a field wipe, which I can only hope wouldn't occur.. lol

There is a lot of potential in wolf decks now, even be it just for my own fun. Considered added Garruk, Primal Hunter.. but that seems to be a chore in of itself, even though the added draw might help.. really not sure what to do with that route. and Primal Titan would only slow down the deck as land's not a necessity being that Urabrask is the most expensive tool in the deck.

Anyhow.. instead of me rambling, I'll just open my ears and hear everyone's thoughts. Thanks! Hope to talk to ya'll soon. =D

Edit: Made some adjustments for people not looking.. took out Mutagenic growth since that would burn pretty quickly for a more balanced approach with the swiftfoot. To protect Everwolf + Urabrask has it's own game breaking terms.

Hey everyone! I have a couple announcements!

First off.. I was looking at the developing decks for standard and the person who named the Wolf deck needs to be shot. It seems so lackluster and fail.

Secondly, had my life or death surgery ordeal this morning. Went really well, this place is a lot better than everywhere else I've been before. Although lack of sleep has made me really tired, I tried taking a nap only to wake up an hour and a half later with blood gushing out of my mouth.. yummy.. lol It's like a real life anime flick!

    That is all. Slant

but it's a hilariously stupid deck, and it gets even stupider when you add Noxious Revival and can flashback your hunt at opp's EOT for more stupidity. then dump your hand on their EOT for zombie snacks...

Also, apparently i'm a delicious pancake... *chews on self*

lol need some syrup or fruits to go with that pancakeselfness?

As for the Zombie deck, it's a fun giggle deck, but I'd never play it seriously. Only when I'm tired of losing/winning. or what not and just want to has fun.

yeps, the only reason i own a wii at the moment is skyward sword (and SSMB), ps3 is my console of choice. Although i do own exactly ONE Xbox game (because my others were stolen from me, because humans suck)

Were waiting for the grumpy old man of the house to gtfo, so i can move into my new room, set up my tv and systems and play them until my girl gets here... then, well i'll be doing the whole dating experience.

Lol the Wii was a totally family only system.. which is fail for about 80% of actual gamers. And SSBB.. So burnt out on that game, I have 100% it 3 times. First Wii, I completed everything, sold that Wii, got another Wii later on, finished it again. Then ended up helping a friend who was having problems with the insane boss mode.. and I lawled my way through it.
Ended up finally trading in SSBB since I got like 38$ credit from gamestop for it towards Catherine & Child of Eden.. lol

Which Xbox game you sitting on? If it's Conker's Bad Fur Day: Live and Reloaded, Rock on.. if not then maybe not that important. Slant
(and yes, humans suck, total agreement on that but some of them are quite yummy... unfortunately)

And yes yes, we're all envious of you having your epic dating experience.. lol Well, I know I am anyways. C'est la vie mon'ami =P

I cannot wait for Skyrim and MW3. So excited, you have no idea.

I prefer Xbox over PS3(I like my network running), but PS3's recent Ad campaign is intriguing to me.

I'm actually thinking of breaking out my PS2 and playing Shadow of the Colossus for old time's sake.

I REALLY REALLY want to get the Skyrim Collector's Edition, but with the way my life is, I know I won't make a dent in the game.. lol so will probably pass it by for now. Also since Skyward Sword and Halo CE Anniversary comes out the same month.
