Good blog 8)
I'm inclined to agree with Bitsy.
What Timmy & Spike want are tangible, while Johnny wants to more manipulate and distort those things to his/her end.
Legacy has blurred those lines some, while casual caters more to Johnnys imo.
That's my take anyway.

If Phyrexia was lead by someone/thing that truly filled his shoes, I'd give it to Phyrexia.
Perhaps the Savior of the Mirrans is the Destroyer of the Phyrexians, as they see it. A split Karn would be neat, but if not, who is leading Phyrexia?
You nailed it!
The Magic story from the Brothers war through Invasion was my favorite. I wouldn't mind seeing more nods to the personalities of that time.
Thanks for the spoilers
Magma Jet will help get that white mana on the table more consistently if your gonna go that rout.
I'm gonna have to get down to Phillies last real shop and represent one of these weeks.
General question, anyone ever whack a Progenitus with an Anarchy? I did last week, & it felt great!!
Thats the truth, I've seen that hand once in a while, but not all that often.
I know I'm going to want to see a fallout at least once when expecting to face aggro decks (he said he'd be expecting Goblin & Merfolk), and 2 never made me feel confident I'd see one. I'd even suggest having a 4th in the sb.
I guess I usually have more land, as the only land sac I use is fireblast, but 4 magma jets facilitate that.
I like the idea of shard volley, but it increased my mulligans, especially with barbarian ring (though they Do have a synergy).
Nothing was more depressing than seeing a fireblast, shard volley & a barbarian ring in my opener (how many times I wished it was a Mtn)
I'd keep magma jet as a 4 of if you decide to keep shard vollys, it's a great way to make sure you have land if you need to prematurely sack em. In fact to be honest, I cant see playing less than 4 magma jet at any time.
I've never felt bad about top decking a Keldon Marauder either.
I'd replace the vollys with the 4th fireblast, +1 fallout, +1 vortex.
Either way, it all really depends on the draws, and to that I say GOOD MOJO TO YOU M8!!!
I look forward to reading your report.
I started teaching my 10 year old nephew how to play recently, and already he wants to put together Vial/Goblins (He's mastered Jank/Goblins, as we call it). He's saving his allowance, and is actually excited about it. I know he's going to have a real appreciation for his deck when it's done.
I'm glad he likes goblins, and not Merfolk, as he'll finish goblins much faster at his pay scale.
That was My 1st thought.
A good mix of non targeted damage and the few beaters usually gets me by enchantments until an answer arrives. In these situations, I've found Browbeat to be great in that they either accept damage, or they give me the opportunity to draw into an answer, or more untargeted damage, or a beater. Either way, its better than sitting there with a handfull of bolts i cant use (yet).
If your opponent has Leyline of Sanctity in play, Keldon marauders pings the only target available, You.
Lodestone Golem would make the alternate cost of Fireblast 2 Mtn's + 1 colorless, just as chill would make it 2 Mtn's + 2 colorless.
In my experience, burn mirrors come down to who plays the stack the best.
The primer was updated just over a month ago
Totally enjoyed reading that, I wish I were close enough to get there:-/
Long live Burn!
