Sweet alters Pringlesman. I love the Brimaz in particular
Here are a few cube alters that I did recently, although I did end up selling the Mind Twist:

steve_man posted a message on Custodi lichThinking about it more, this could be useful over the longterm since the edict effect is somewhat repeatable, but it's constantly mitigated by your opponent drawing cards off of being the monarch. I think it comes down to how many decks this can slot into that can keep control over being the monarch.Posted in: Cube Card and Archetype Discussion
I'll probably test this over Priest since monarch adds an interesting twist to a regular cube game.

One day we'll have so many good black 5-drops that we'll look back and laugh at how ever lived without such dope cards.
One day...... -

From a flavor perspective, I'm not sure how one would recruit a wall though.
Recruiter: "Hey, you're a great wall, one of the best. Would you want to fight in an upcoming battle with me?"
Wall:"..."
It doesn't say anything because it's a WALL! -

Even a lightning bolt is serviceable. Usually with time I lose hype on cards, but I keep thinking about best case and worst case scenarios and they all seem great. My question is, what is your worst case scenario with this card, I imagine only really having x spells in sideboard would suck, but that would be almost impossible especially if you draft this guy before p3p15.
Even if this card were literally the last pick you wouldn't end up with that scenario. Worst case you have to take an instant/sorcery that you wanted in your final 23 and instead you choose to run it stapled to this dude (the horror!). I suppose if things went horribly wrong in draft and you literally only had 23 playables and this stuck you with no viable options for that 23rd card (and literally nothing outside the 23 was viable as something to put on this guy). But if that happened, you were probably losing some matches regardless.
I looked at the last several Ux decks I drafted online (obviously with no knowledge of Arcane Savant). In every case, there were at least 2-3 options for things I could staple to this guy that would make him worth more than 5 mana. In all but one case, he would have been completely absurd. Imagine making a blink deck and stapling a storm card to him? This guy plus Hunting Pack and then blink him.
I feel like Wizards printed this to haze the cubing community. Will they run anything high power we print regardless of how broken it is? -

I saw this in the last draft I had, someone playing some kind of 4C zoo-ish deck vs GB midrange (who had new Emrakul.)
GB plays Emrakul. Steals opponent's turn.
Uses Garruk, the Veil-Cursed's -1 ability (with 1 loyalty, so it died) to sacrifice new Thalia (that had a Rancor) to get a Qasali Pridemage, to kill their own Batterskull.
Rancor enchanted Emrakul. -

Do you hate your friends? Me too! That's why I love moat. While not infallible, moat is a beating against certain decks.
-Do you run Moat? What size is your cube?
-Why don't you run moat? Price? Power level? You enjoy having fun?

Ral Zarek is just as great as he looks, and I was lucky enough to pull one out of a prize pack at the pre-release *happy dance*
Blood Scrivener has met expectations, it drew me 2 cards once and doesn't hurt the curve if you've no other drop to make. I like it.
[CARD]
Spike Jester[/CARD] was good in an aggro deck with lots of other hasty beaters, I've built 2 of these lately and they're super fun to play. One deck had 10 haste creatures + Reckless Charge, it had some ridiculous games. We're happy to have both Jester and Rakdos Shred-Freak.
Pyrewild Shaman looks like a solid aggro duder, it was bloodrushed most of the time and the potential of getting it back later is nice.
Finally, when I faced it I compared Sphinx of Jwar Isle with Aetherling and in that situation it was better than Aetherling would have been (I had an Icy Manipulator). Just thought I'd report that too.
I've had less time to paint lately, still here's a few more from the last month:
The Greaves are now a part of Juju's cube (alter exchange)

Blood Scrivener (Life//Death)

Ral Zarek (Huntmaster of the Fells)
Voice of Resurgence (Prime Speaker Zegana)
That's all folks!

Juju, you have really made awesome progress in a very short time. Your alter looks really good, and I'm stoked you picked this card, we will be proud to cube with it for what will probably be a long long time. Thanks a ton man!
Here it is:

Zegana is fun but inconsistent, Edric is by far the superior card. I'm hesitating on cutting Zegana, but Edric isn't going anywhere.
I'll be interested in hearing how Stifle works out for you!
I'm pretty sure you will, your alter's on its way to NZ!

IN (OUT)
Wight of Precinct Six (Thrill-Kill Assassin)
Nothing too exciting, Assassin wasn't bad but won't ever be great either, we wanted to test Wight and this was the obvious slot to do it in. First match was positive, it was 3/3 and that against a creature light deck.
The Abyss (Death Cloud)
Death Cloud didn't test well for us, it had a hard time making the cut and even when it saw the main deck it didn't perform very well. The Abyss fits in the same deck, is easier to cast, and can be used by control and artifact decks too.
Vinelasher Kudzu (Master of the Wild Hunt)
Master was kinda meh, we wanted to give the plant another go.
Greater Gargadon (Splinter Twin)
Splinter Twin was never great, we won't miss it. Gargadon gets another turn.
Eternal Dragon (Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite)
Norn was used rarely, most white decks don't count on getting to 7 mana. We didn't have a clear replacement ready and decided on the fetch-dragon.
Black Vise (Mental Misstep)
Misstep didn't work out for us, just too narrow. Aggro gets a colorless support card, our cube has slowed down since we cut Vise so it might work better now.
Ankh of Mishra (Blasting Station)
Blasting Station performed really bad for us even in decks built around it. An easy cut. The above comment on Vise works for Ankh too.
(Precursor Golem)
Not bad, but not necessary either.
Baleful Strix (Psychatog)
Tog is ok but not great, we decided we'd rather have Strix in for synergy reasons.
