Quote from opterown »Unless you have a strong aversion, I think Comet, Stellar Pup is worth more of a test over Nahiri
Comet is prob like a top 5 multicolored card, I don't think playing it discounts the playability of Nahiri.

Quote from Sliver Lord »I think this is a lot better than BBE. Would not be shocked if it was a top 4/5 Gruul card — the 2 mana mode is strong, 3 mana mode strong, 4 mana mode strong, 7 mana mode is great. At pretty much any point in the curve you’re getting meaningful removal and a solid body.
Quote from Monkey D Luffy »Considering BBE is universally agree as best Gruul card few years ago, I'm curious to hear you ranking of Gruul cards. It's been a few years since I return to cube so I might be missing a lot of cubable Gruul cards all of a sudden. I'm guessing Minsc and Wrenn are #1 and #2, but is there like 3 more better cards than BBE now since a card that is apparently "a lot" better than BBE can now only be #4 or #5 in cube?

Quote from SavannahLion »Ugh...
I'm not sure I like this. I really didn't like it when they pulled this kind of shenanigans with SOI. It's Tamyo's Journal all over.
Mostly because the different Journals weren't recognized by stores, most databases, and many players. I always felt this is WotC giving actual collectors an unnecessarily harder time.
c'est la vie I guess. Collectors are in the minority now.

I'm a lot more sceptical about Charming Scoundrel as well, but I am buying the card to test it as well.
I agree with the rest though.

I think Wrenn is strong, but him not being able to make a creature that protect him on T3 makes me think he's not good enough for 360.
I'm actually also interset in Invasion of Ixalan because I still like Oath of Nissa and believe that this kind of effects are great in cube.

I highly recommend Aboleth Spawn if you like this card. Its effect isn't as nearly as strong but it's also only a 3 drop. It's been working really well in my 360 testing and I might try to keep it over the long haul if possible..

Current, I am including
Dack Fayden
Lutri, the Spellchaser
Prismari Command
in my Izzet section.
Lutri has been pretty solid and I'll have to see if I like this guy more than Prismari command.
I also view Surge Engine a bit differently. While it is "The way this card plays out, you spend your 2nd turn’s and part of your 3rd turn’s mana getting this beater online" like you say, it's also essentially leaving 2 mana open for counterspell which are bread and butter of blue decks. I do like blue tempo and like to push for cubable blue creatures a lot though. So while I'm not sure if it'll stay in my cube I'll still give it a run.

Den of the Bugbear > Sokenzan, Crucible of Defiance
Gideon Jura > The Wandering Emperor

If I ever want to free up a lot, it'll probably be a white card in my cube. It's Wrath of God mode is going to use so often and it's going to get swipe by white deck a lot more than black deck.
