I cast Bituminous Blast on Ink-Threader Nephilim, it will get copied 7 times (1 for each creature). Here is my question: will Witch-Maw nephilim get his 2 counters for each one and will they all cascade?
I'm not sure if it's doable, because they are put on the stack and not technically cast, so my guess would be no, but I ask anyway to be 100% sure
No one mentionned it and I don't remember this card being used in any format but Myojin of Seeing Winds is really bad. Not only you have to hardcast it to get the divinity counter, but it is a 3/3 for 7UUU. I have never seen it played even once, but I assume if you do manage to remove the divinity counter, it's gg the next turn?
But I'm always pissed when i open a rare land. It just feels like a waste of a rare slot. I browse through the booster, hoping for a nice creature or bomby spell, then I see a land. I'm not trolling, it's just that, while most rare lands are very good, they are just not exciting to open.
One With Nothing also made a roaring appearance on the Pro Tour as a sideboard card against the Owling Mine deck many years ago. One With Nothing is a bad card, but it has its niche.
Though some of the rares that stand out to me as ridiculously awful are a number of the Rare artifacts from Mirrodin Besieged and New Phyrexia. I trade for bulk, and I've currently have over 20 Omen Machines and Magnetic Mine's specifically because when I trade for bulk, I ask for the worst rares imaginable.
One of my friends has a r/g artifact destruction deck based on transforming my stuff into artifacts with Liquimetal Coating, blowing it up and damaging me heavily with Magnetic Mines while drawing cards with Viridian revel and bashing at me with Molder Beast. This is a hard combo to do, but when he pulls it off, it's a really cool way to win a game. This casual deck is a very nice creation
That doesn't make magnetic Mine good, but I find it nice to see someone use it when i had no clue how to
What most people don't understand from this thread is that it's about flavor. From a flavor standpoint, Tarmogoyf feels like a powerful uncommon at best, much like Vorapede, in Dark Ascension or lotus Cobra in Zendikar. It's just a monster that you could meet in the forest or whatever that happens to be particularly powerful and rare in its native setting (I mean the world, not on a card)
Compare it to the Legendaries, the huge dragons, the planeswalkers, the flavor-tied cards (Helvault, for example) or some other mythic baddies (Like Worldspine Wurm, the Titans or Godsire) and Tarmogoyf doesn't feel mythic at all. It's just a big beast with no backstory and its not the kind of creature that could level a mountain easily or crash through an entire district of Ravnica unstopped.
Mythic rarity was supposed to be about the feeling and Tarmogoyf doesn't feel mythic at all.
There are al LOT of tokens that are one time deals.
I would like to see more drake subtheme too, but don't count on it.
And especially since blue is not a ''Tokens'' color
Pretty much this. I wouldn't hold my breath to receive those cards, ever.
OP didn't offer $200. The seller asked him to buy the lot for $200, but unseen and only as shown in the picture. Which leads me to think that those could also be really good proxies and the seller doesn't want to provide close-up pictures for that reason? But there are some foils in there and I've never seen someone making foil proxies, so I don't know about that.
I do have a foil Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite proxy, but the foiling process is way lighter than on a normal foil, but in a picture like the one on this thread, it would be indistinguishable among the other cards.
It would fit the crunch at 184, but it is weird because I would have guessed that Rakdos himself would appear ahead of all other multicolor cards which start with the name of his guild, but looking at the distribution of such cards in Dissension, Rakdos Augermage and Rakdos Ickspitter both have smaller collector's numbers.
What irks me more is that it rules out Prophetic Bolt :/
You could just get Izzet Vs Golgari, it has Prophetic Bolt with a nice new art in it
Let,s say there are 7 creatures on the battlefield, among them there is a Ink-Treader Nephilim and a Witch-Maw Nephilim I control.

Sorry if I'm not supposed to post links but anyway, I wanted to share it. Delete it if innapropriate please.
Anyway. my guess is that this card is oversized since Sliver Queen is on the reserve list
