No card draw, correct? or, can you: Attack, put MI on the stack, GoST on the stack, Create the angel, have MI check, draw because there are 2 creatures?
With other creatures on board. Do you have to choose him first? Or can you select a different creature first and stop him from attacking? This is a strange one so quoting the rule book is appreciated :-D
Most sleeves with art are a nightmare to shuffle without damaging cards. Cheapmagicsleevee.com has matte sleeves with a tapered edge. They slide shuffle like a dream, almost as good as penny sleeves. They sell the matte blacks in 600ct for $35... You can't beat that
Long term I'd take jace over liliana for the simple fact that jace is banned in modern/pseudo reserved list seeing as how JTMS was already reprinted in an FTV so that really only leaves judge foil, which wouldn't do much at all price wise. Liliana will be reprinted though many times short of lili getting axed/quite unlikely.
I was actually thinking about the same thing... Once a card hits the banned list, and I would assume that he'll be a permanent fixture, the chances of them doing any kind of reprint is likely slim.
At the moment, Jace is considerably more played in Legacy than Liliana is, but Liliana has barely seen any play in Legacy OR Modern with Treasure Cruise running around.
Once the unban hits and we see a few tournaments, expect to see things swing in the other way quite a bit. Jace is only really played in Miracles and sometimes Stoneblade, while Liliana has been in some Stoneblade lists (mostly Deathblade), Shardless BUG, Jund, Pox, and a few other (lower tier) decks. Without Cruise, expect Shardless and Jund to make a resurgence, which will mean more Lilianas. I would not be surprised if Liliana overtook Jace in play #'s and/or $ value.
Although I don't disagree with what you are saying, I don't see why the prices/play would hinge so hard on Cruise. Cruise has only been around for a few months, and neither of these cards seemed to have taken a large price hit. I do see that Lil has jumped $2 on tcg since the ban, where Jace has stayed about the same. Based on historical prices I would think that Jace is the safer bet as he has always stayed above the $80 mark, even when first released.
What are people's opinion on Liliana of the Veil vs Jace, the Mind Sculptor.
I'm a competitive casual player, but I don't get to play tourneys because I live in the middle on nowhere. I already have a set of LotV, but i was thinking of upgrading those to Jace. My concern is... I'm always looking at the long term price of things since I quit Mtg every so often and then return a few years later.
I'm a legacy player at heart, but I'm forced into modern most of the time because my main play partner, who does do tourneys, always needs to play test against modern. Obviously Jace isn't modern, but he's more my style as I'm typically a UW control player.
Army cards printed on random sheets? I would think that's lands would all be on the same sheet, and then just stuffed behind x cards from another sheet. Why would they even be printing full fetch sheets to make this error
I'm just curious if people know the reasoning behind wak-wak being worth more. At first glance it seems that the maze is more playable, and can be abused since it removed creature from an attack. Wak-wak only reduces flying to 0. Neither add mana as a stand alone card. Is it just the limited availability, or am I missing something?
