Because Elizabeth II is the queen regent of New Zealand. (She's the monarch of sixteen countries including the UK.)

    Thanks

How much is this thing going for? It just linked to a sign-up page for dealers.

Not like I'd buy it anyway. The Queen of England on the back is a deal breaker for me.

I'm curious as to why the Queen of England would be on the back of New Zealand currency.

Would it be illegal to go to a GP and throw stacks of tarmogoyfs and underground seas into the audience?

    I wanna make it rain.

Wizards of the Coast has just announced that they're getting into the money printing business!

I was thinking about hoarding a lot of coins before the prices skyrockets.
After all, not only is it real silver, it has images of real cool art on them. And it's backed by Wizards of the Coast, so you know it's legit. Each coin comes with their own certification of authenticity! This is just the coolest thing they've done since as far back as I can remember!

That Chinese company got caught by police I think.

But what if another company are going to do the same and print ten thousand of expensive staples and release them before police caught them?

Nope, it looks like they just couldn't keep up with the orders:
    Situation update

Many of you have written here that some salesman from the chinese company wrote you the police closed their factory. Bad news, it's not true. They just have so many orders that one employee told this lie. I asked the man who is sending me the free sample of cards about this, he confirmed. See the screenshots.

Please excuse my grammar in this post and in the chat as I'm pissed drunk.

Casual players don't buy $100 Tarmogoyfs. Casual players are casual.

I often hear people blame spectators for rising prices of mtg. But the more I think about it, the more I feel that it's the players, themselves, and the perceived value they attach to a legacy staple, that gave rise to this environment. Why is it that when one trades "up" to a legacy staple it's usually assumed that the person who has the staple wants more in other cards than the monetary value of their cards? Especially, considering it would take the same amount of money and time to sell x amount of standard staples as it would to sell legacy cards. This perception in every day trades helped to create the bubble just as much as the one guy who decides to sit on multiple playsets of a card.

Also, I thought this video provided a very compelling argument regarding the current affairs of mtg.

Vindicate is a card. Or if you're running the green splash, abrupt decay.

For the UW build, I find myself thinking about an enlightened tutor sideboard. Something along the lines of what D&T players tend to run. But perhaps a little more artifact oriented to account for running md academy ruins:

So far I've been finding myself really enjoying Ghostway. I'm actually finding it to be quite useful with all the TNN hate going around. It's usually given me 1 or 2 triggers for baleful strix, snapcaster, clique, and stoneforge, while buying a turn of blocking. It can also act like a psuedo maze of ith for TNN, as you're trying to attack but still need to have a good wall against opposing goyfs. But my favorite time is when I get to use it in response to an abrupt decay or in opposition to your opponent's sweepers, especially supreme verdict. Occasionally, you can even combo it with engineered explosives.

Island Sanctuary has been decent at stalling, but unless I run baleful strix or am stalling for a jace, it is not an early game option. Still uncertain about this card.
Absolute law is a metagame choice.

I'm not seeing how mantle is faster than Drum, both require you to have 1 mana, and a creature, but drum doesn't require the creature to have been out for a turn to use.

Personally, I think he should just drop to 2 drums and go back up to 16 land.

Yeah, it's only faster if you have an opal and and an artifact land and want to cast a two drop. Yet in spite of it being slower most of the time, I think it's a better option than running 3 potentially dead springleaf drums. Glimmervoid would be another option. I probably wouldn't run any springleaf drums if I had chalice main deck.
