Right now, the biggest deck has to be RG Valakut. It's insane.......
So, I'd suggest 4x Mana Leak, 4x Negate or something to start. I dunno. But the RG deck is really, really good. They don't even run Destructive Force. Just Titans, Heart Expedition and Valakut
Why are people so caught up on what color the deck is?
As long as it embraces the control philosophy, who cares? Green Eldrazi should have its own thread sure, because it involves janky ramping.
Condemn is pretty much required. Journey is infinabad.
As for weakness vs bomb spells, I've been saying this for over a week, yet people are super-resistant on trying out a blue splash. It really does boggle the mind.
I looked on the first two pages for a build similar to this and haven't found it.
I've just started playing this today on MWS.
All I can say is wow... Frost Titan looks like he sucks on paper, but when you play him with cards that synergize, he is a champion. Jund usually cannot kill him, as you lock one of their lands, and then they need at least four mana to Terminate him (best case scenario).
Time Warp with Jace, Garruk and Frosty out can usually seal the game, as you get to use Frosty's ability twice. Between Jace, Frosty and Adept, you can deal with problem permanents.
I've been winning around 80% of my matchups vs Jund so far, maybe that's a fluke, I dunno. But if anyone's interested, feel free to improve upon this.
I've had success with this and have continued to test it just because, well, come on, it's freaking Mono Green control! How awesome is that? Many decks in the meta are very slow right now, so land destruction is a viable option, I think. Most control decks only have so many counters, so after you Slime/Mold them, you're throwing out Dusts and Elephants.
One of the largest problems is, of course, fliers. Vampires and Baneslayer give this deck fits. As someone pointed out, Plummet is basically required as a 4-of in sideboard. RDW can't usually put a dent in your constant lifegain. I had an RDW player freaking out on me because I literally gained 40 life over the course of G1 with him.
This is totally nothing like aggro, though. I see people making new threads all the time, and this is really solid versus much of the meta. What's the deal?
Yeah, it wins by attacking with creatures. Your point? 99% of decks do that.
Lifegain/fatties against aggro.
Land destruction against control.
16 main answers to random annoying threats like artifacts/enchantments.
I haven't even bothered to optimize it yet (or bother with a sideboard, lols!) but it's crushing Jund, RDW, and others. Haven't run into Bant, I reckon that may give me grief.
Just a head's up for those who like to watch the competitive side of things... a U/G version T8's twice in a Japanese PTQ... I linked the decklists in the G/X Eldrazi thread, but can be found on SCG.
Competitive side of things? Yeah I'll stick with a solid White base for that.
Actually, from further testing of Mono-W, it IS possible to win against Force.
If you throw down a Chalice or Dreamstone beforehand, that is.
And have a Path/Condemn for their Gideon/Titan/Whatever.
All Is Dust is worthless against counterspells. Pithing Needle becomes the answer to their Jace. You cannot let them sit there and brainstorm every turn. You cannot.
You still need draw though, I run Jace's Ingenuity.

In other words, very situational.
I'm working on a UW deck for the counter ability
Yep. Many people here are running RG Valakut or D-Force. In either deck, P. Titan is a must-counter.
I took first at my FNM running a UW build. Plays just like Mono-W. Stall, drop a bomb, win.
Southheart92, your list has 0 Condemns and 0 Paths. Seriously? You need four of either one.
Yeah I notice that too. People mention a certain deck is the "Japanese" version and suddenly it's cooler.

I love the T1 manadorks. Maybe I'll try them out.

Lifegain for aggro.
Land destruction for control.
Various utility to remove annoying permanents.
The big elephant's ability can be used to wipe their lands or provide a defense. Super awesome card.
Thoughts for optimization? I haven't even made a sideboard yet.
