I played a Jeskei Tutelage deck this week end at GP Quebec and It went "ok". I won 2 matchs and lost 3 (2-1 each time). People are not prepare for that at all. The big difference with the "old standard" is that now people play a lot of haste creature, by that I mean Mantis Rider and Gideon, Ally of Zendikar. It's a bit hard to deal with those when your removal are sorcery speed. Dromoka's Command is also everywhere but most of the time I sac my Jeskei Ascendency first.

My friend also bought a Japanese box, no expedition in it.

I'm trying to foil out my Geist (duel commander deck) and I'm unable to convince myself to buy any 150$ +++ FOIL cards (Force Of Will, Snapcaster Mage, Wasteland etc...) :|

I sold some cards so that helped but I'm out of gas now.

I was expecting Gitaxian Probe to be in there...glad I did not pre order a box now.

I'm in the same boat right now...I like to have my cards signed by artist and since there's so many at GP Vegas, I might get the Platinum registration package just to meet the artist "in private". But I'm also wondering about the pool pre-registration. There will be so many players at this event, It might be worth it.

I play a BUG Planeswalkers deck with 4x Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver and I would never cut it. Just by himself, he made me win a match against a Bant Control deck. Also note that I'm playing 4x Ætherspouts, I made a Monoblue Devotion player rage because of the combination of Ashiok + Aetherspout. He attacked with a bunch of stuff, so Aetherspout. He putted back Master Of Wave and Thassa on top. My turn, cast Ashiok, exile your top 3

Well...It's not a direct combo with Pod but you can assemble it with Pod (like in Modern)

In the end, It really doesn't matter. When you start the game, you do want to lower your life total, cast something like True Name Nemesis, a flying creature and then Marchesa. All your guys have dethrone with counter on them. No matter what they do, they will comeback (always nice to have counter magic of course). I often go down to 16-17 by myselft to keep up with my opponent and be sure to have dethrone. Fetch a shockland untapped, use mana confluence, add a U with shivam reef etc....and so far, It's been pretty good. The only matchup that gave me a hard time was Prossh cause he still make guys when you counter it...and the fact that my opponent had a grave pact in play

You should give Demonic Consultation a try, for only one B at instant speed, It's pretty good and fast.

Hipster mike...I don't kill with Doomsday so I have no use for Crop Rotation into Urborg. I considered Hermit Druid and removing the 3 basic lands so I can mill myself with The Druid, Tainted Pact or Demonic Consultation.

I must say that I forgot about Sylvan Library/Mirri's, I should add them.
