When I was much younger, our family owned a cat who was a very enthusiastic hunter. Many times we had birds flying in our house because he had not properly killed them when he brought them inside to "present" to us. =o
That's love and devotion for you. I had girlfriend that did the same thing.
* those that voted for me. The rest can bugger off.
Slow days. Stopped my car last night to spend some time with a dog that was hit by car and was at death's door. Furry animals + Cars = He was a mess, bleeding profusely from the head. I was happy to spend some comforting moments at a really bad time for him.
Poor guy.

So, I just found my Happy Birthday thread. Thanks to all who posted.
New cool pic. Taken when we were at Mt Hood last in the last month.
I wouldn't describe myself as a logician, but I think you're right Furor (i.e. you're wrong). Strawmen are erected to discount the arguer's entire argument, not just the strain of logic being lit aflame.
Just gonna say this: I've never been to a strip club. Even after years of poking and prodding from my more testosterone-y friends to go with them. Seems really sleezy and degrading to all involved.
The only thing I remember doing for my 18th birthday was buying a lottery ticket, since I could legally do it then. Other than that, 21 is the only one that really matters.
Yes. How many people believed (or still believe) that Iraq had something to do with 9/11 or that Saddam had ties to Al-Queda, or that Iraq had or still has WMD? They watch the news and come to believe things that are simply not true. Of course, this could not happen if Bush & Co. had not the slightest compunction of lying. It's all they know, apparently.
I find most people who identify themselves solely with proselytism are in the "danger signs" category.
Agreed.

I voted for you in "Nicest Member," I think. Bardo!
Thanks! I am a kind old chap.
That's a category I might be able to win. If I cared, I'd start campaining. :tongue2:

@War: I have them turned off because I'm sick of seeing anime banners and Family Guy images. If I were here as an actual Magic player, things might be different, for whatever reason; however, I am not.
I leave the avvys on, though I despise animated .gifs; but I've had the sigs turned off since the Spring. People feel such a strange urgent to be creative and unique or something, but 99.5% of it is just eye-garbage.
Mine's pretty much the same for Furor's reason, I always forget to check it. Though I think something of Furor's is sigged in there now. :goes to check: Yep. At some point, I'll just go with the thing...
An exciting piece of news: the Infidel Guy and his family will be on ABC's wifeswap opposite a fundamentalist family this wednesday, the 28th at 8pm. Tune in and enjoy! I just hope they don't represent him unfairly to placate the crowd. The original press release seemed wildly unfair.
I caught part of it last night. Overall, I was struck by the stunning sadness of it all. That poor family. Take care of your children for ****s sake!
I find those that proselytize atheism quaint and harmless, but I'm deeply fearful of the evangelical crowd. Dear Jesus, please protect me from your followers.
Anyway, I didn't see the whole thing -- but if I'd seen your post before this moment I would have paid it more attention.
Re: the awards. I was going strong until October or so when I sorta faded away. A bone thrown my way would be deeply appreciated!

Why didn't anyone tell me of this thread?
Yes, my birthday was Sept 12. I turned 31 years old. Not too much happened, though I did get laid, so, yeah, there you go.
There's also considerably evidence that he was not responsible for the crimes he was convicted of.
Curious*,

* but not in that way.
@ Furor - Your new title/avvy scares me a little.
Could someone give me the low-down in two sentences or less?
Parenthetically, "forum drama" must be amongst the most banal forms of drama known to man.

Not me, ******-Boy.
'Drinking champagne out of a juice glass right now, as a matter of fact. No ****.
Agreed.
