I also think it's not a full fledged war on nature, but the technological races examining and researching the nature (and stone guys maybe).

Lord, your creatures are golems, and Mundus' race are some kind of stone guardians. Those guardians remind me of something like ancient sentinels, pointing to some extinct civilization. It still remains to be seen if it's true.
If Mundus makes some his stone guys golems too, you could develop some connection lore-wise. Like your race is some kind of descendants of those who lived before. And you also can support each other mechanically.
Are your guys purely artificial, or are they some kind of symbiosis between organic and inorganic?

I also think it's more like 'nature struggling to survive the advance of technology/hedonists/immoral researchers', rather than merging nature with artifice. Also if we do the nature+artifacts it will still resemble Mirrodin too much imo, so something else has to be made up.

We just need to image a plane where all those could coexist. It will give us the answer all by itself. Gonna muse on all that in lunchtime.

Mechanically I can see us forcing 3 sides, resulting in some kind of synergy between races:
Golems: The Lryn + The Greymarx
Nature: The Rosar + The Lucidii
Artificers: The Kelthians + The Teebeedee

I can see a strong artifice theme in all humanoid-like races, while all races untouched by civilization are basically animals.
I think the focus of our team should be the 'Nature vs Artifice' lore.
Dunno if Mundus' creatures are going to be leaned towards artifice or nature, but it will suit perfectly anyway.

Also, Froxbite, our races both have transform mechanic. It's pretty cool to have synergy with each other for a Magic set, but it also gives us some limitation. I'd like us to work together really hard on the DFC design, so they can really shine Smile

    Name: Lucidii (Single species: Lucidus)

    Colors: URG

    Physical Description:
The Lucidii are wild creatures of the similar size as humans. They have physical bodies resembling those of gorillas seen on Dominaria, albeit much smaller. The long arms they use to move around are connected to little shoulders, continued by gentle, slender body. The small but strong legs are bent in a position that allows the Lucidii to jump or swim quickly.

Even though the body has definite form, the structure of flesh - if it's even there - is unknown, as a harmed or even mortally struck Lucidus disappears into thin air, not allowing to examine itself. The body of a Lucidus always emanates a subtle glow in a color depending on the environment. Some of them appear transparent.

Some lucidii are known to be able to vanish from sight, throwing away their physical shapes. They, however, don't just disappear, but still remain around, mystically manifesting themselves in the environment. They tend to do this in times of danger: lucidii are known to maintain physical bodies when living in the nature.

    Culture/Beliefs:
Lucidii are entirely natural creatures. They seem to rely on instincts rather than intelligence. They, however are definitely able to communicate to each other and work or fight against the aggressor together with the nearby species. You can naturally see a Lucidus while travelling through a deep forest, high mountains, or lakesides. The Lucidii gatherings tend to be peaceful and non-aggressive, however, they tend to fight fiercely for their native environment, if something's happening to it, be it trying to drive back the human tribes, who's cutting down the forests, or cooperating for preserving the mountain foothill after a serious magma eruption.

    Mechanics:

Transform (Double-Faced Cards, also transforming into permanents other than creatures)

Ethereal (Prevent all combat damage dealt to and dealt by this creature)

Enchantment abilites with tap symbol in their activation cost.

Transform, as a trigger for an ability.
