Didnt happen, fake story. Go directly to prison, do not collect $200. First of all, most unbelieveble story of all time combined with huge ego. Second, If you beat up a guy playing Jaces and Squadron hawks, you didn't get the name "Prey Upon" from that, because that wasn't even a card then. Tell you what, tell me the date this happened and the name of the store. I'll call the store owner, and if he verifies it I'll donate $50 to the charity of your choice in your name "Prey Upon".

Maybe the card Prey Upon was designed for Innistrad based on his story. He could be the werewolf in the picture.

So I placed an order with Troll and Toad a few weeks ago for some standard cards in anticipation of States this weekend. The order included some Innistrad and M13 cards and also a pre-order for 3 copies of Overgrown Tomb (they were out of the original Rav ones).

Last Friday when RTR released, the order still hadn't shipped which worried me as Monday was a postal holiday and if they shipped Tuesday it was possible they wouldn't arrive by Friday for the weekend. I attempted to call them as the cards still hadn't shipped Tuesday morning when I got up and see if I could pay extra to expedite the shipping, not something I wanted to do as it defeated the purpose of ordering the cards from them over SCG (which I had another RTR order with that DID ship out on Friday and arrive on Tuesday).

The problem with their phone system is that it does not allow you to wait for a representative. You call, then press 1 for an order and if no one is available it kicks you straight to their voicemail, this would be fine but I left them two voice mails which they never returned, so basically to get through to them on my lunch break I had to sit and call the number, hang up if I got voice mail and call it again over and over till I lucked out and got a lady on the line. She verified the order hadn't shipped at this point (Tuesday around 2pm) but said it was put together and would go out on the truck the same day. She said I could pay an extra 15 dollars for 2-day air or 35 dollars for overnight shipping. I asked her about 3 times that if I paid for 2-day air that it would arrive by this Friday as the only reason I ordered the cards was to play in States, she said yes it would and that most likely it would be here this Thursday, I agreed to the charge and she said they would waive part of the charge and only charge me 10 dollars for the expidited shipping.

I was hoping that would be the end of the issue, that the cards would ship out and after an extra 10 dollars I didn't expect I would be able to play in States this weekend, but unfortunately that's not the case. Wednesday morning I checked on my order again and it still hadn't shipped. I attempted to call them again but because of their phone system after around 20 attempts throughout the day I wasn't successful in reaching anyone. When I went to bed last night it still hadn't shipped. I checked it today at around noon on Thursday and it still hadn't shipped, I was feeling pretty depressed at this point as the realization that I wouldn't have a deck for States this weekend sunk in. I left another voicemail (which hasn't been returned) after trying to call them throughout the day today and not getting through to see if I could cancel the order since it wasn't possible that I would get the cards at this point.

This evening it looks like the order has shipped with an expected delivery date of next Monday (States is this weekend, so it's pointless). I couldn't even reach somebody or get somebody to respond to my voicemails or emails through their website to cancel it and now I feel like in addition to not getting my order by the time they verbally said I would, I'll now have to pay for cards I'm not going to get any use out of.

I'm not sure what's going on with their service, I used to be a huge fan of them and have placed about 20 orders with them over the past few years and never had an issue before. This whole situation and the lack of any response to my emails/voicemails or any way to reliably get in touch with them has soured me enough to possibly never place an order with them again.

I don't have a back up deck or very many standard cards to get together a replacement deck by this weekend so this is probably going to cause me to miss States, which is my favorite Magic event of the year as I don't really do PTQ's or GP's.

taking out the godless shrines would be a good idea if you want to play the deck in standard Smile

Completely ignoring the shadows, compare the size of the top card(s) to that of the other cards in play. It's almost twice as wide as a normal card would be. Just off the width of it it's too large to be one card.

It is a valid strategy, the only problem you will run into is it's almost impossible to get a FTV at msrp. They are usually marked up quite a bit and hard to get a hold of. They aren't like a duel deck or other product where there will be a bunch of them on store shelves.

Am I the only one who thinks if the discard was random it would be way more fun? If they get to choose then your opponents will just discard lands. It would be nice to get someone to flip a kozilek or something off a random discard and get 10 damage to the face.

    Consuming Vapors.

What the heck is going on? Is something dying? Who knows.

I always took it that the vapors (the green stuff on the right) is moving in on the escaping eldrazi spawn to kill him, and on the left side is a second eldrazi spawn that the vapors are eventually going to overtake (thus the kill 2 creatures ability).

Once he's out of standard I'm sure he will go down a bit in price.

Hopefully they are fixing it. I remember watching a trailer for it a couple months back and it looked BAD, like it should be on the PS1.

Decimate is awesome for R/G since you get to destroy a creature, land, enchantment, and artifact all for 4 mana.

Your scenario wasn't tactical, it just sounded like absolute douchebaggery tbh...do you have a logical reason to want to delay?

It sounded like from his first post, the intention was to stall out the game so the other semi-final winner would have to leave because of time constraints. So yeah, it basically sounds like douchebaggery.

  • posted a message on How much longer will magic last?
    Not anytime soon.

To be more specific, not until something "new" comes out to trump trading card games. I don't really have any idea what that would be as we have seen lots of interesting things like TCG's you can play on an arcade machine, or online MMO TCG's and neither of those has really had any dent on magic, but I imagine someday down the line something "new" will come out that might trump Magic but that may be a really long time from now, or it might even be Wizards making the innovation so you never know. Either way I'm not really worried since if anything magic has just been picking up steam lately.

I just assumed his "of the Hammer" title has to do with the Vulshok and all their forging/equipment stuff and not necessarily an actual hammer.
