Calling fake, it uses an almost 100 year old existing piece of art, found on google.
(Funnily enough, they did credit the correct artist)

Elspeth, Knight-Errant
Gideon, Ally of Zendikar
The Wandering Emperor
Elspeth, Sun's Nemesis
Serra the Benevolent
Cheers,

Elspeth, Knight-Errant >= Gideon, Ally of Zendikar >>> The Wandering Emperor >= Serra, the Benevolent > Elspeth, Sun's Nemesis for me.
- Elspeth, Knight-Errant and Gideon, Ally of Zendikar are pretty neck and neck for me and are head and shoulders above the others. Elspeth granting flying puts it over for me since she has better reach and slays planeswalkers more easily.
- Serra has a nice niche for control / Moat decks, and can perform well in any white deck really. Kind of easy to pick off though if you can just remove the angel and get 1 damage in.
- Elspeth, Sun's Nemesis was best in aggro, but even then it felt worse than Knight-Errant / Ally of Zendikar for me. The only time I really felt it was superior was when it was escaped in the graveyard.
- I haven't tested The Wandering Emperor yet, but I expect its best case scenario to unseat Serra as my #3 ranked planeswalker in this slot since she's more flexible with flash and has more versatile modes. -

The problem is likely the price ... Likely well over 60$ on release.
Gee shucks, I always forget about that. I probably won't be playing these lands after all.
It's basically impossible for a rare in a Standard set to be $60. Almost all the value in Standard sets these days is taken up by alt art chase Mythics and even those rarely hit that mark. The full art version might get over $10 but the regular version should be pretty cheap.

Mergatroid_Jones posted a message on [WOTC] Banned & Restricted Announcement - Epiphany, Divide and Haven...OH MY!Divide by Zero? Weird choice. But I dunno the format. And Memory Lapse too. I love a good memory lapse, but it's just a tempo card.Posted in: The Rumor Mill
Ragavan banned in legacy is pretty funny. It would be nice if wizards would learn the lesson and abide by their own design principals even on mythic legendaries rather than the mentality of "we want people to desire this card, so let's just add a little more power".
I also think their re-balancing cards with online sets is a dangerous precedent. They can use it as an excuse to release whatever overpowered cards they want, then fix it later. Hopefully we don't see anything becoming an actual errata like this. -

peteroupc posted a message on Saw in Half and Pack RatWith Saw in Half, the tokens' (base) power and toughness will be half the last known (current) power and toughness (C.R. 608.2h, 613.1), each rounded up, of the creature that died, respectively. They won't necessarily be equal to the "number of Rats you control".Posted in: Magic Rulings
This is because, if a copy effect sets a specific power and toughness, the effect doesn't copy any characteristic-defining ability that sets power and toughness (C.R. 707.9d). Pack Rat's first ability is such an ability (C.R. 604.3, 604.3a), so that ability won't carry over to tokens created with Saw in Half (and so won't carry over to other objects that become copies of those tokens, either) (C.R. 707.2, 707.9b, 707.9d). (But compare Pack Rat with Death's Shadow, whose ability is not a characteristic-defining ability and so will carry over as normal.)
EDIT (Dec. 30): Correctness edit. -

Rezzahan posted a message on Saw in Half and Pack RatNo, the tokens from Saw in Half will be 1/1s. The creature that died had power/toughness 2/2, that's its last known information about those characteristics. So the two token copies will have 1 as the value for each. What later created tokens have as power/toughness relies on which rat you activate. A normally created Pack Rat will grow with the number of Rats. A sawn in half Rat's activation will give you another 1/1.Posted in: Magic Rulings
So assuming you go for the growing Rat, you'll have 3 5/5s and two 1/1s. -

- You can scry a land on top with the main one, then draw it with the token keeping both Planeswalkers
- You can scry with the main one, then cash in the token for a spell
- You can scry with both to have a Planeswalker on 5 Loyalty and another on 2, which is a lot for the opponent to try to break through
- You can double draw (and potentially still have 2 planeswalkers if the token hits a land)
- You can scry with the token and draw with the main one, keeping 2 Planeswalkers and drawing a card
Cards that give you options are generally strong. It doesn't have protection like creature removal or token creation, but having 2 bodies and high loyalty is also sort of protection. I think this Jace could be very good.
