Looks like Thassa will go well with Geist of Saint Traft in Modern, especially in the mirror matches now with the Legendary rule change.

I have been testing out a slightly different type of Combo deck and it has worked out quite well for me.

Here is the deck list I used :

I have been told that I am taking away from the Combo by putting Natural Order and Progenitus but I have had good success with the deck.

I was 15th out of 54 in a Legacy Tournament just recently, went 4-2. Beat 2 Merfolk, 1 Zoo and 1 Mono White. Lost to 1 Merfolk and 1 Reanimator.

Progenitus won me 3-4 out of my 9 games and I know a couple games I put both Progenitus and Emrakul on the board in the same turn.

My reasoning for the 2x Natural Order and Progenitus was to have another win condition. There was 3 other Elf decks at the tournament, 2 Combo and 1 NO Aggro Elves. From what I could tell I was the only Elf deck with a winning record. I know the NO Aggro Elves was 2-4 because I know him and the other 2 Elf Combo decks were at the back tables near the end of the day which would mean they did not have a very good record.

I tested this against my friend who played black white discard stoneforge. One game he emptied my hand on his turn 2. On my turn 3 I played a forest, then he played a stoneforge and went to get a jitte. My turn 4 I tapped my 3 forest, returned one with my only creature Quiron Ranger and laid it and tapped for a 4th and played Natural Order for Progenitus. He scoped cause he knew he didn't have an answer. I just find that I have a second way to win if something goes wrong. Plus it is kind of a surprise when I start playing and they misstep all my beginning guys then I Natural Order.

Just thought I would put it out there...

Would prefer to have this thread for people to respond to what it was built for instead of a 4-Color Ally deck. I have tested this deck and I do well against Jund, Polymorph, RDW, and any of the mono color decks. The one I have yet to face is Control deck types. I have placed in Negate and Unified will in the SB for DOJ and all those other mass removal.

But I suspect I will only see 1 Planeswalker deck at Regionals which I may not even play against, and there may be a couple U/W control decks. But with Jace 2.0 being so expensive I would expect to see a lot of Jund and RDW.

I use to play Join the Ranks but when Emerge Unscathed came out I had to have more 1 casting cost protection and then on my next upkeep I get to protect another creature and step through the opponents defences to hit him.

Yeah I have quite a bit of protection but when facing so much removal you require it, it has saved me many a times. Also when I can win by drawing either a spell or the Kabira it happens much more often with 10 cards in the deck giving me protection.

Mark of Asylum is nice but if I lay a Honor of the Pure, red can not 1 shot any of the main guys I need to stick around, like Kabira and Talus Paladin.

I don't like tap lands when I am trying to kill my opponent asap, and Ancient Ziggurat has saved me many times to allow me to play my blue creatures. I may remove 1 and add another Island in.

I could not find when searching the 3 pages of anything about U/W Allies. I have played this deck at FNM and last weekend at the WPN Championship here where I live. I placed 3rd twice in a row, and because of that I am deciding to take this to Regionals this weekend.

I would like some advice on SB or even about the main deck. I know that the deck can handle Jund without Knights or Kor and I have played it against RDW as well quite a bit and have no problem with it. I am just unsure of the whole U/W control and decks with a bunch of mass removal or walls. Any help would be very appreciated.

I can't recall the decks I played at FNM cause it was a few weeks ago but at the WPN Championship I went 1)Jund 2)Jund 3)Jund 4)Jund 5)G/W ramp with lots of mass removal and the G/W Wurm.

    Round 1 beat Jund 2-0
Round 2 beat Jund 2-1(2nd game got 2 mana)
    Round 3 beat Jund 2-0
Round 4 lost Jund 1-2(2nd and 3rd game got like 2-3 mana)
Round 5 draw with G/W inwhich we took 3rd and 4th which is same prize

    Thanks...

Also Clone is there incase I face Iona and they name white. I can then clone her to destroy her.

P.S. I do recall what I played at FNM that night.
Round 1 beat U/W Mill Allies with Jace 2.0 2-0
    Round 2 beat G/R Goblins 2-0
Round 3 beat Blightning Deck 2-0
Round 4 lost Jund 1-2 (made a mistake and tapped out with 2 paladins out, cost me the game)

    Hey All,

I figured I would place my deck list here to see if I would actually get some comments cause I am not getting them from other sites I have posted it. I am trying a RG deck, little different then what is being posted here but would really like some comments on it. Thanks in Advance.

I really like BoP but I am thinking that since I have so many harrow and Khalni heart I could replace them with Scute Mob, but I love my mana acceleration at the beginning. Also thought of replacing Zektar Shrine with Banefire, and also looking to maybe fit Colossal Might in there somewhere, maybe instead of Vines of Vastwood. Too many cards to think about, looking for some suggestions.
