ThyLordQ posted a message on Card updates coming with ”Khans of Tarkir” on MTG Arena (these changes apply to paper)The reason Kindred isn't a supertype is because you can't subtype a supertype, and subtypes are really specific to what they go on. For an recent example, see the confusion about the Go-Shintai and whether Shrine is a Creature type.Posted in: The Rumor Mill
In grammar, it's acting as an adjective, which makes it confusing, but it's better to think of a Kindred card as saying "Creature Enchantment" or whatever sort of card it is. -

DJK3654 posted a message on [LCI] Bonehoard Dracosaur — Limited Resources previewStill annoys me a little that in mtg pterosaurs are dinosaurs (which they're not actually) while birds aren't (which they very much are). It makes sense for the game design, and it is all fantasy worlds, but still. Grrrrr common misconceptions.Posted in: The Rumor Mill
Cool card though. Strong if it lives but still vulnerable to removal which is nice to see sometimes. -

Mergatroid_Jones posted a message on [WOE] B. Dave Walters 8/22 — The Witch's VanityI feel like they put the reminder text on the wrong chapter. Who can remember what a wicked role is? But I want reminder text on everything because I like when cards say what they do.Posted in: The Rumor Mill -

Crispen_Smith posted a message on Doctor Who CMDR spoilers - The Tenth Doctor, Exterminate!, TARDIS (partial) and The Parting of the WaysPosted in: The Rumor MillQuote from Simto »Stuff like this should be limited to some Secret Lair variant. Modern and scifi stuff looks so wrong on Magic cards it's crazy. Can't tell you how much I dislike Dr. Who.
This is just never a good look on anyone. It's great that you are passionate about MTG, and about your MTG experience, and saying you are not into this product is actually awesome.
But the way you say it.. it's like saying that grocery stores shouldn't be allowed to sell mangos because yellow foods are wrong. -

Because everyone that disagrees with a particular corporate’s team decision is a racist. This novel was based on mythology. Therefore the only racists are the ones that want to change the origins to please other people from an unrelated background.
Outside the US people are boiling over these some decisions. -

soramaro posted a message on [MOM] Invasion of Belenon // Belenon War Anthem — Mirror co.ukI'm a big fan of these one-off Planechase cards that show unknown planes. It would be neat if Wizards could use supplemental sets etc. to slowly flesh some of them out over time. I guess the "new lore" here is that Belenon has Loxodon, Aven and Rhox.Posted in: The Rumor Mill -

Simto posted a message on [CMM] Announcing Commander Masters — Weekly MTG previewsPosted in: The Rumor MillQuote from Morphling »I would expect we will get a or or sliver that makes Slivers into Treasure-token makers upon attacks.
Yeah hehe, given how many cards spit out treasure tokens, I think you're right we're going to see a treasure sliver.
I just hope the new slivers have "all slivers" and not just "slivers you control". I understand the logic behind moving it to slivers you control, but I just love the chaos and mayhem of "all" -

penguinarmy posted a message on [CMM] Announcing Commander Masters — Weekly MTG previewsNot just to be a contrarian but I hope we don't go back to the Edge of Tomorrow style slivers and stay true to the cause of the original Tempest design. It's okay to go either way with the all slivers or just your slivers getting to share in the hive.Posted in: The Rumor Mill
Edit: Been thinking on what new abilities for slivers we may yet see. Looter/Connive (draw/discard - possibly on combat damage), Scry, regular Cycling, Riot, Explore, blue Flash, Convoke, Wither, Morphling (C: +1/-1 or -1/+1), Flicker/Astral Slide on self for cost, ETB gain life/opponent lose life, Doomed Necromancer (sac to rez a creature), Qasali Pridemage (C, sac: Destroy artifact/enchantment) - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

* Mounts are a new creature type with the 'saddle' ability which works like crew except it gives the Mount a bonus. Long overdue;
* Deserts. Of course!
* Outlaws batch Assassins, Mercenaries, Pirates, Rogues and Warlocks;
* Plot exiles a card from your hand that you can cast on a later turn without paying its mana cost;
* Holy cow, a Holy Cow!
Not bad at all!

As an aside, though I do think the Azra is fake, it's technically not impossible to have one in Ravnica due to the omenpaths.
Wouldn't that make the color identity at least partially , when none of the decks feature that combination of colors?

At the beginning of your upkeep, each player exiles cards from the top of their library until they exile a nonland card. An opponent chooses a nonland card exiled this way. You may cast up to two spells from among the other cards exiled this way without paying their mana costs.
