'Converted mana cost' is just way too many letters for my tastes, so I'm totally OK with the changing the term, but I think they could have done better than 'mana value'. In my custom sets I've adopted the term 'mana sum', which is even shorter and IMO clearer. Maybe 'value' casuses fewer translations issues or something.
The shuffle change I really don't see the point of. As with the 'any target' template it seems like sacrificing clarity for the sake of brevity, which I don't feel can ever be worth it.
I don't think we should treat a lot of the PC game info as canon though - Many locations known to be on Shandalar weren't in the game (such as Thune, Evos Isle, Xathrid, Valkas, Kalonia, the Skep, the Onakke catacombs) - heck, even the city of Ardestan known from the game's lore wasn't on the game map. Then again, you also have Eloren Wilds...
Since no one else seems to want to do this, here are the cards Gavin opened that weren't spoiled yet:

Nice the slivers look like Slivers again, not those weird things in M10
Yeah, they kinda look nice, but at the end of the day that's only skin deep and it doesn't seem likely we'll ever get anything thatplays like Slivers again.
I still feel the same as I did way back then, only more so: Asymmetrical Slivers are completely inexcusable and if Wizards won't make new symmetrical Slivers they shouldn't be making any more Slivers, period. We don't need them since we have Allies now, anyway.
So this is now confirmed fake after the big dominaria spoiler. There is only one card with Serra in its name and it’s an aura; there are only two cards with Sentinel in their names and neither are white.
The list in the FAQ isn't the full card set, you know.
I know. But its 132 cards include every card that might have had rules questions. This is absolutely a card that would have had rules clarifications necessary. ‘Dies during combat’ is an unusual clause. A FAQ would absolutely address that to make it clear that dying by any means during the combat phase triggers this - it does not need to be attacking or blocking and the death does not have to be from combat damage for it to trigger.
This isn’t Savannah Lions here. This is a card that would be among the FAQ’ed if it existed.
Ah, I see. Good point.
Also, I've been looking at the original image again, and while I still see the 'separator', I'm seeing similar lines on other parts of the card too so I'm probably seeing things.
So, um... Forget I said anything, the card's probably fake.

It's confirmed fake for a different reason. The release notes say that all new cards are to be printed with a bar dividing the rules text from the flavor text, this card has nothing that I could describe as a bar, it uses the current layout.
Upon closer inspection there does seem to be a line between the Sentinel's rules and flavor texts that, even though it's blurry as hell, seems to match the subtle line on the revealed Homarid Explorer. Seeing both next to each other convinced me the Sentinel's real after all (since no faker could have known of the existance of the line before the leak happened).
(reminder most dinosaurs have scales only some breeds have feathers.)
This is outdated science. Recently evidence has revealed feathers present in specimens on both sides of the saurischian/ornithischian divide, and since that divide occured right at the beginning of dinosaur evolution, all dinosaurs must have had at least the potential to have feathers. If they didn't have them, it means it must have been evolutionarily advantageous to lose them. With our current knowledge it's more correct to say featherless dinosaurs were the exception rather than the rule.
recently the t-Rex was discovered to not have feathers (paleontologist in china found a t-Rex with skin pattern and it was scaley like we all know the dinosaurs.)
All of this leaked *after* we find out the theme of the set?
Look, a sceptical attitude is usually the right one to have, but this leak happened one day after Ixalan was announced. To assume that any faker could read about Ixalan's theme and then think up all those cards and find appropriately themed art for them within a single day is just plain ludicrous.
