Went 5-3, lost to affinity, burn, and hasty small zoo. Beat scapeshift x2 (one match he went through half his deck & couldn't find scapeshift lol), UWR, Mono blue timewalky deck & something else.
I feel the aggro match needs help. Not sure how much the singleton bonefire would have helped those matches. vs burn there were 2 games where he had 2 eidelon of great reveal in play which made all plays really complicated.
Had some initial success with this. a 16 player gpt made top 2 & lost to uwr geist in finals. Made top 4 of 20 player gpt lost to pod. Yesterday played a 27 player gpt & went 2-3. Lost to UWR controlish, pod I lost to in 2nd gpt & can't recall. never saw torpor orbs vs pod which would have helped as finks just ruins our day.
I am not a fan of goblin guide and considering switching to naya. Any suggestions on pod match up and uwr decks? Tron match up hasn't been that tough.
Just my thoughts. Trying to decide on this deck or some other for GPT detroit.
I was able to win my local 12 person game day, B/U/W planeswalker control deck. I would have been undefeated but scooped to a guy in round 4 to let us both get in the top. Beat Humans 2x, RDW, R/U Burning Vengeance and Tempered Steel.
Went 4-1-1 Phyrexian. Black sun zenith, 2 galvanic blasts, spread the sickness, 2 virulent wounds and 11 infect guys. Lost in the semi-finals to a mirran dude who opened a pool where he had 5 playable rares/mythics including a hero of bladehold. The guy I lost to won 1st place so I didn't feel too bad.
Really? I'm not doubting you, but could you help me to understand why?
It's fairly obvious that I'm new, but I feel that Terastodon's ability to destroy permanents is just too good--especially against decks that make use of lots of planeswalkers (i.e. U/W Control).
Probably be cause Gaea's Revenge can't be countered and Terastodon can.
It was even worse today. A mob following everyone around, people pushing and shoving each other...unbelievably shameful decision by WotC.
Oh, and at least one person grabbed TWO tickets, which was not supposed to happen.
My understanding (from talking to some of the WoTC people) is that wizards was told by Gen Con that they could not do the line up thing again this year which is why they did it the way they did for gen con this year.
They also mentioned that there were reports of people cutting in line last year.
Yes getting one of those tickets was a frighting experience.
Here's my 2 cents had an auction end last night with 3 primevals at 112.50. In looking at some other singles were going for 35-40+ and I've seen some play sets go as high as 160+
Thinking back I should have done individuals as most probably aren't looking for a 3 of.
I'm really surprised at how the green titan has shot up. I don't think it can sustain this price but it makes me glad I opened 3 at my pre-release and have them up on ebay now
Wow you guys are making me doubt what the price of this card will do. I pulled 3 at pre-release events and have them on ebay right now. I didn't think his price would continue to climb like this.

Was there a Game Day Playmat?
Even though it crowds the 3 drop spot I do. He is amazing when you land him and you should normally have metal craft by the time he is in play.

Oops fixed that one thanks.
