Mana-base looks a bit shaky. It can be made better depending on the budget.
Extremely Budget: Jwar Isle Refuge is probably the best option here. Amulet of Vigor could make the CIPT lands just like original duals.
Budget: Drowned Catacombs is the next best thing to the Shock Lands or the Original Duals. It'll provide you with both colors you need, and can come into play untapped without the use of the Amulet.
The rest is up to how much money you want to spend.
1. I can never stick with one deck. After a few months or half-year, I have to change my deck. It just gets boring after a while.
2. I love rares, most of my casual decks are chalk full of them.
3. I'm no Spike, but I don't like it when I lose. My playgroup doesn't do much single-player (they don't like being beat) so they gang up on me in multi-player. The problem is that they're ganging up on me (Soldiers) and they don't realize how dangerous the Merfolk deck across the table could be if left alone.
i decided to lower the land count to 22 and put in 2 chandra nalaars. alot of ppl may think that its contradictory to have chandra nalaar when the legend rule prevents it from being on the field the same time as ablaze, but since she has a -X effect, i could always use -X to set her loyalty to 0, have her destroyed, and then cast ablaze without any problems. nalaar is great removal, gets rid of and permanent removal (o-ring type stuff) from my opponent to clear the way for ablaze, and doesnt hurt the curve that much being the only 5cmc
Uhh, you can't do that. -X ability only applies to creatures. Planeswalkers are considered players.
I'm just trying to contribute to the community as much as I can.
I'm no expert at MTG economics, and I never say I am. I just try to put in my input, if there's something to be said (Which happens to be in alot of threads).
Comparatively, I don't post here much. I post alot in the casual forum, where I actually can give insight based on personal experience, and not just Word of Mouth or minimal evidence.
He's talking about Glimpse the Unthinkable, which is growing in popularity because Extended season is coming around, and Dredge sometimes uses it.
Extended season is already here. It also retains it's high value as a casual staple, therefore it usually stays the same or rises depending on tournament playability.
As usual, you don't know what you are talking about and continue to spread misinformation.
"Going for" and "listed for" are two very different things. Perhaps one idealistic seller had lised playsets for $90, but I can assure you that none of them were "going for" that much. A quick search of completed auctions shows one playset sold for $60, while the rest have been between $35-45 since the spoiler frenzy.
Next time you feel the urge to respond to every single thread, at least just take a moment to think about what you are posting instead of blindly regurgitating/misinterpreting what others have said....or maybe just sit the next few out -- you don't have to comment on every single topic.
Okay here, why don't I put it this way. I got my information from the rumour mill, which may have not been the best source, but I saw information that made it seem as though one playset HAD sold for $91, and that some buy it nows were in the $90 range as well. Then I also stated that it went back down to $40 which it did.
So instead of telling other people that they don't know what they're talking about, why don't you cut them some slack? Telling people that they don't know what they're talking about, and that they are spreading misinformation isn't exactly the best thing when it could have been an honest mistake, on interpretation of prices.
"Perhaps one idealistic seller had lised playsets for $90, but I can assure you that none of them were "going for" that much". This is misinformation. Respectable members were posting in a few threads in the Rumour Mill acknowledging that one set had indeed gone for $91.
Next time you feel like being rude, please hold you're tongue in check, send me a PM instead of making me look stupid, and then post your opinions on prices.
ok so i went to the site and it says the server is up, but it still says i cant download the kicker. any ideas, i seen some people say to use the kicker.exe but then they cant log on. so i dont want to do that.
Did you uncheck all the LAN settings on IE? That could be the problem.
Serra Angel. Holy crud. The split second I read that, I thought "YU-GI-OH!!!11". Seriously, anyone who played/plays yugioh will immediately remember how bad yugioh flavor text is and will be reminded immensly of it.
Righteousness my Man. We must hope our game does not fall into that terrible path of pleasure to 8 yr olds.
Joe?
The reason Sarkhan fits more into a Dragon deck is because of his Ultimate. His first 2 abilities don't have much synergy with anything.
Good catch on the collar, but with 1 mana you'd rather be playing Rancor on any of the large beasts.

Hellspark Elemental and Ball Lightning would both be great early game damage inducers. The damage early is key when playing browbeat later on.

And yeah, bottom line, Eye of Ugin is Overpriced.

Just in case it wasn't clear, Serra Angel.
