Saito, regardless of stats, is a cheater. He has been caught cheating. There is no place for cheaters in the Hall of Fame. Rightly, he was not elected this year.

The Hall of Fame is not the Hall of Stats. Remember this.

Can't possibly fathom why types such as the OP feel the need to dump like this.

If you don't like it, absolutely no-one is gonna make you play. Like zero people, dude. No-one.

LOL at the people saying "OMG can't understand!!?!?!"

Time to quit then, methinks. Surely there are games simple enough to figure out?

    Or not.

Also LOL at the parade of tryhard trolls in this thread. It really isn't that bad. Really.

    Thanks for the replies.

Turns out we got it right on intuition, but I wanted to confirm things.

  • posted a message on Splatter Thug vs. Guardian of the Gateless
In an RtR block draft, the following board state came up:

Player A controls a Splatter Thug with a +1/+1 counter that is enchanted with Deviant Glee, and another Splatter Thug with a +1/+1 counter on it. Among his lands is an untapped mountain.

Player B controls a Guardian of the Gateless and no other creatures. They have no untapped land and have two life.

So player A attacks with both Splatter Thugs, and player B blocks both of them with the Guardian. The Guardian triggers and gets +2/+2. Player A activates the ability on Deviant Glee, giving one of the Thugs trample.

At first strike damage, how is the damage assigned? Is there an order for the attackers to deal damage, or does it happen simultaneously? Will lethal damage be marked on the Guardian and the remaining damage trample over to kill the player?

Thanks for the help. It seems like an unusual situation but all of these cards will be played together in this format so it's bound to come up again.

If you're interested in EDH, PM me and I'll get you the info about our group (it's in Tokyo but a few of us come from Yokohama) and possibly furthering the Yokohama based connections.

Everything that was given as a reason for banning Primeval Titan can very much be applied to several other cards, most notably Consecrated Sphinx.

I know Prime Time is the more contentious of the two, but most would agree that the Con-Father is the more "unfair and unfun" card. So... It's hardly unreasonable to ask why it's still considered ok.

Also your guest spot on the Card Advantage podcast was pretty great, would be fun to hear you on some other shows too!

Can easily alter to say 'City of Ass'. 8/10, would bang.

(yes I know about the un-card)

While not using 100% direct language, he did indeed dismiss the possibility of it ever being reprinted. Any other interpretation is nothing more than wishful thinking.

A player in our local EDH group has started playing a deck with Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant is the general. However, he has neglected to find out the ins and out of how the card actually works and refuses to find out himself, and Google has been somewhat fruitless in finding out.

Here is the most common situation:
He has 30 or more life. He casts Rune-Tail and it resolves. Does the flip condition then trigger? I presume so, and if then the trigger resolves, the card flips.

If someone were to respond to the trigger with a Doom Blade targetting Rune-Tail, does Rune-Tail then trigger as the flip condition is met (as in, does Rune-Tail check every time priority is passed or does it only trigger once, when the 30 life condition is met?) and flip into an enchantment thus leading to the Doom Blade being countered on resolution? Or does Rune-Tail trigger one time, and die to the Doom Blade?
