i run a 1 of image which sometimes does come in handy. copying a deputy of detention or knight of autumn can come in handy in some matches. It's not a bad evo/chord target if the opponent has something juicy. to daviusminimus point though we arnt seeing wurmcoils or eldrazi or anything really huge running around to copy so it can be mediocre alot of the times.
the 1 creature chain can just win the game and thats why it is there but i think you are looking at from the wrong aspect. It's not always about comboing off the moment vannifar is in play. If you can do it great but she is also a tool box. If all you want to do is the combo then just replace bellower with sun titan and you have your chain without using most of your deck. also if we really think about it the amount of slots that subpar combo pieces take up is really small.
1 scryb
2 horse
1 conscripts
1 bellower
thats 5 cards and really the horse is the only creature that really doesnt do anything. IMO Temur is the combo shell, bant/4color is the midrange/toolbox and then there is whatever the tear drop/ ranger of eos version is trying to do. the more spells you put in the less consistent it will be for using vannifar.
not having a deputy of detention i think is a mistake and id ditch the fauna for conscripts and bellower. the ability to just win is better than utility fauna offers.
ya know i dont need it to be a REAL deck i just need it to be real enough so i cant play the style of deck i like. Id be more than happy if it settled around tier 2 and did big things every now and again.
I just ran this tonight and i must say that rhythm of the wild is real, and scryb ranger over preformed. Samut is also pretty beastly. I went 3-1. I do want to make room for an eidollon or worship in the sb though.

Anyone brewing with Vannifar? It feels like there's something there.
theres a thread called peoples pod in deck creation. Mostly just what you would expect but there are some people going for an infinite persist route with Rhythm of the Wild that is being brainstormed elsewhere.
Big IF, since its not that good, but I would say if we hit some hypothetical where ANOTHER artifact deck breaks, Opal would finally eat it.
see i disagree with this statement. The guy who made Whir prison consistently does well with the deck. He constantly 5-0's mtgo and i always see his name when he attends the SCG in his state. It is a very hard deck to pilot given that you literally sit there and do nothing. I would argue that KCI was the same way as only a couple pilots can really bring out the full potential.
honestly im of the opinion the KCI ban really only affected KCI players. I cant speak to higher REL events but almost every store i have played at only had myself or one other KCI player and even then most people had SB hate because of the cross deck hate that comes with playing artifact/graveyard based decks. Im still amazed they dont see faithless lotting as an issue considering there was 4 graveyard based decks that used it and had a decent share of meta.
