I would like to consider myself as a fair trader, but I too can be stingy sometimes about specific cards. I use a variety of different price guides to figure out my trades but more so I try to use common sense in the matter. Would I be stingy about my Savannah Lions? No. Would I on my Sol Ring? Yes.
Still, you can't complain if someone turns down a trade as it is their right to do so.
I just wish in general there were more people willing to trade big ticket items for a bunch of smaller items. Otherwise, I'm going to have to buy all my expansive needs from my wants list.
@Soaprman -- I trade for the sake of trading, but I don't have many needed junk rares left on my list anymore.
My most memorable move was cloning my own (just cast) Ball Lightning, attacking with both, and still not winning the game. That's all I've got.
Overall, M10 is a fun experience. I played in one flight and one draft and had a great time. The set truly is fun and the change in rules is not as significant as some thought it would be (myself included).
I always work on VS's over at MDV. It will be up in full once all of the card images are spoiled. In the meantime, I'm updating it tonight with all of the revealed cards thus far.
I would suggest Villa Park, IL. I have to drive 30 minutes to get to any of the shops around me that have events. The only time I don't have to drive is when they have their events at the VP Odeum.

Neither did I. Of all of the rules changes, this one aggravates me the most. I can agree with every other change, but not this one. Why mess with it now?

This CORE set, aside from the name, has to be one of the more exciting CORE sets in the last 12 years. I'm a huge fan of everything spoiled thus far, especially the return to classic fantasy elements. Some of the art is just amazing.
Specifically about the key selling points, did I rare it was a Mythic in 1 of every 8 packs approximately. Is that right?
I personally think everyone is over-reacting about this. Magic is a game that we love. This incident shouldn't stop us from loving the game. What people don't realize is that actions like this from WoTC keep the game alive. What's there to love when the game isn't around anymore??

While I don't agree with this act of WotC, I can understand and respect it. I just pray they don't one day shut down Magic Deck Vortex because I have a deck and art catacomb section...
This is truly unfortunate news. Not so much because its SCRYE we are losing, but because this is the last of the MAGIC-related magazines to go. I hope this isn't official news and that there is still the chance foo SCRYE to revamp and keep going.
