Jun 24, 2010bloodghasts posted a message on Mono-White 'Transcendent Sovereign'I think Eternity Vessel might be a little counterproductive, since this deck will optimally be showing increase in life every turn, and it competes in mana slot with Felidar Sovereign who is a very likely win con. I'd suggest removing it, and maybe two other things, for 4 Rest for the Weary. It's a truly amazing card, especially for early-game lifegain, while Wall of Omens is still keeping the opponent at bay. I was about to suggest Survival Cache too, and now I've just noticed your "Considering" part, I'm glad we're on the same page. Does Wall of Reverence really help much? I haven't used it but it seems like Transcendent Master could better use one of its slots, and then maybe the other two could go to making Rest for the Weary a playset. I like how in a few months when the rotation is complete, despite losing Cradle of Vitality and Knight of the White Orchid, you get Ajani's Pridemate and Goldenglow Moth, which is a pretty damn good tradeoff.Posted in: Free 7hinker's Deck Space

I'm not sure if a deck like this has been made before, but it seems like a very interesting and fun brew that won't hurt the wallet as much as other legacy decks but will still challenge the pilot to make the correct decisions and not miss triggers, etc. This is Greg Hatch's card for card list from the last Legacy event that streamed this past weekend. He explained how it works but I only watched the deck tech once and was a bit perplexed. He speaks quickly and you can tell how excited he is about the deck. It definitely wins by milling with Altar of the Brood and definitely has some complicated interactions based on what he said. Personally, I am a huge fan of Hatch so I'm not sure if this is biased, but I really think this could be a deck in legacy. The only deck I can compare it to is Eggs but even that usually had the strategy of casting Second Sunrise effects a million times with Lotus Blooms. But this is honestly the coolest thing I've seen in terms of legacy combo decks in a while. I am very excited to see if Salvage Titan can become legacy playable (a sentence I never thought anyone would utter ever). Anybody have thoughts? And can anyone give the rest of us some insight on how to go about playing this deck, in terms of mulligans and ordering of plays and such? I know this is a lot to ask from people who probably have never played the deck but I figured I would try.
Also I don't like the idea of hybrid cards in edh deck that don't have both the card's colors. Spitting Image alone would be super weird and shows that color identity of hybrid cards is of both colors. Demigod of Revenge also shows this with his recursion ability though he's not really relevant in edh.
Yeah, I know a guy who a couple have times has cast Tooth and Nail saying, "well, I'm not going to get Mike and Trike even though I have it because I don't want to end the game like that" as if we were supposed to be thankful and not target him. We told him to get it anyway so we could shuffle up and play a new game. I don't see why someone would not look for a combo they deliberately put in their deck.
Edit: I almost forgot Entomb for loam or harvest
