I can understand POD but why is she a bad match up against RG? You get her early game and have a way to deal with all those annoying creatures with hexproof.
because most of the guys are mana dorks or they have one of the follwing flash haste undying
tested it... got rolled by GR this deck is missing the swords/path from the legacy verison (and brainstorm but we will never ever see that card in std)
Oh absolutely Mana Leak is the most oppressive card in the top 16 and i wish that they had more cards like Cavern of Souls to fix it...
i know u were being sarcastic....i was too lol. just so i don't sound rude
I'm surprised at the lack of Solar Flare...is it bad vs. Rg Aggro?
needs more testing with the new G/r lists but probably
control normally attcks with sweepers and spot remova and bombs like titans and planeswalkers is now useless thanks to combination of evasive creatures and mind control effects
Yeah, pretty much this. Reading PV talking about why he didn't want to play UB control and the Pro Tour is very instructive:
"Everything changed when the Starcity results came in and Mono Green got second, not necessarily because Mono Green suddenly became super popular but because it was a big wake up call – UB was a good deck for the metagame we were expecting, but what if we were wrong? Mono Green, for example, was not actually a bad deck, and people might play it, and we had a very hard time beating it. Mono Black, Tempered Steel, some sort of Birthing Pod and even Mono Red presented the same problem, and together those decks were bound to be a significant percentage of the metagame. Sure, you did slaughter solar flare decks and Wolfrun while having a decent matchup against Delver and I think over 50/50 against humans with this build, but you were bad against randomness. Other decks also got better than you after board, since humans and Delver both get more counterspells, and the maindeck was so geared towards beating creatures that you couldn’t improve very much, and you’d also lose to other control decks that were not as dedicated as you were. In the end, though I don’t think UB is a bad choice by any stretch of the imagination, I felt like we could do better."
Control will be (very) good again this standard, for sure...just not quite yet I don't think.

More discussion will come on this deck and how to build control decks in the near future, but the most important change was the move towards Grave Titan. In this build, he is a sort of "catch-all." How do you deal with X? Play a Grave Titan! How do you deal with Y? Play a Grave Titan! His ability to fight removal and hexproof creatures, race big threats, and totally take over games on his own makes him especially well positioned at the moment
because most of the guys are mana dorks or they have one of the follwing flash haste undying
so i would say play her in a meta of delver but keep her out if it's pod/gr etc...
but Thalia is a creature and thats a land making it a million times harder to remove
also it would be broken in legacy
this std is awful if you arent playing pod you are doing it wrong
