Why not include Purphoros, God of the Forge in this deck? With all the different ways to make infinite tokens he instantly kills your opponents without having to search for redcap or Mikaeus
Also another thing I forgot to add is have you ever thought of Ghostway as a safety card with sunforger? in case you are a little too overextended you can always use it to save your creatures. and maybe mistveil plains for some recursion with sunforger?
Have you ever considered putting Godo, Bandit Warlord into the deck? He is a 6 drop equipment tutor that also gives you an additional attack phase which i think fits the theme of the deck very well
i saw somebody post in a thread that if you enchant a blistercoil weird with dual casting you could effectively combo out? the way it supposedly works is you make a copy the copy resolves, he untaps and you do it again. does this work?
Also @demon ignus can generate infinite colorless mana with rakdos.
well crap i totally forgot about that part. ok well if you play what i mentioned before and both priests priest of gix, priest of urabrask you can do the combo
so i stopped playing edh for about 3 months and come back to find out that everyone's decks at the store had turned into infinite combo win by turn 4 (on average they go off turn 4). im looking for a general who can disrupt combo decks easily or the color scheme that also disrupts combos best. any suggestions?
Edit:
thanks for all the responses.
one of the decks was a deck that plays a lot of tutors, 0 cost artifacts, and ad nauseam to draw his entire deck play everything multiple times then tendrils of agony everyone to death.
another one is just Palinchron combo with infinite turns and so on, with damia as general.
then there is an Azami deck with just counterspells to stop others till he can combo off.
then just a bunch of other combos everywhere
i guess i could try gaddock teeg as he does shut everyone down but the tendrils player
Edit 2: im seeing alot of jester caps and sadistic sacrament advice but most of the games at my store are multiplayer so we stop one combo another will go off. at the tournament the tendril player went off turn 4 and the damia guy said dang i was going to win next turn. and the last guy said he was going to Oona us all if he had gotten 2 more turns.
Edit 3: How about a stax deck? could that possibly stop the combos. im possibly thinking w/r/b or i could try the zeduru idea
i usually save creeping renaissance for when they wiped the board or im running low on stuff to play. gravepurge may be cheaper and instant but it doesn't fill your hand. usually when i use it i get 6-8 cards back
im sorry i forgot to tag them. wasn't sure because i stopped playing during innistrad and ravnica caught my interest and got me playing again.
