I don't think Adaptive Assimilator works the way you want it to. Unless you want it to give your whole team a host of keywords no matter what, including some redundant ones (notably hexproof and shroud).

    That's cool I guess.

Well, nice to have lots of tokens. The forcemage is considerably better with Yeva out, useless without. Yeva's amazing. Talrand is too.

    Quote from Lithl

I think the wackiest play I've ever accomplished was this turn in an EDH game:
In play: Oracle of Mul Daya and Sword of Feast and Famine (equipped to irrelevant creature that won't get blocked)
    - Play Mosswort Bridge and Vesuva (copy Mosswort)
    - Float mana and cast Rude Awakening (entwined); Mosswort and Vesuva Mosswort are now creatures
    - Cast Rite of Replication (kicked) targeting Mosswort
    - Cast Vesuvan Shapeshifter (copy Mosswort); 8 copies of Mosswort Bridge just entered the battlefield in the same turn in a singleton format
    - Swing with creature equipped with Sword, untapping all the Mossworts
    - Cast 8 spells for 16 mana (:symg: + tapped Mosswort).

Bonus points: The last spell cast was Mind's Desire. Grin

How'd you give the original and Vesuva haste? They're creatures, they can't tap the turn they come in.

as soon as something becomes a land and nothing else it is colorless, as color is not an attribute applies to lands, it can therefore not have one. so no need to state it.

Lands can be colored. Painter's Servant, for instance, will make all lands colored. It's worth mentioning.

I figured you could use him with Pestilence or Pyrohemia to make him into a much cheaper and more effective Arc Slogger.

Of course, you can over pay for Green Sun's- pay 2G to grab that nacatl.

It refers to the creature types. Unless it said "... named Eldrazi Spawn"- it needs to say name to refer to a name. See Squadron Hawk for reference.

Nope- you're not paying life to activate an ability, you're paying a cost to attack. Also, even if it were an activated ability, you could still just pay one white mana.

I will admit that I missed that it was a replacement effect instead of a trigger on the new card. Still, the clause "Players can't win the game" doesn't do anything.

Lich has that one thing where it stops you from losing to life-loss though, at least temporarily. This doesn't. Just change it to players don't lose the game or add " and you can't lose the game for having 0 or less life."

No, it doesn't. This is what it prevents:

    Quote from MTG CR »

104.2. There are several ways to win the game.
104.2a A player still in the game wins the game if all of that player’s opponents have left the game.
This happens immediately and overrides all effects that would prevent that player from winning
    the game.
104.2b An effect may state that a player wins the game. (In multiplayer games, this may not cause
the game to end; see rule 104.3h.)
104.2c In a multiplayer game between teams, a team with at least one player still in the game wins
the game if all other teams have left the game. Each player on the winning team wins the game,
even if one or more of those players had previously lost that game.104.2d In an Emperor game, a team wins the game if its emperor wins the game. (See rule 809.5.)

This is what it doesn't prevent:

    Quote from MTG CR »

104.3. There are several ways to lose the game.
104.3a A player can concede the game at any time. A player who concedes leaves the game
immediately. He or she loses the game.
104.3b If a player’s life total is 0 or less, he or she loses the game the next time a player would
receive priority. (This is a state-based action. See rule 704.)
104.3c If a player is required to draw more cards than are left in his or her library, he or she draws
the remaining cards, and then loses the game the next time a player would receive priority. (This
    is a state-based action. See rule 704.)
104.3d If a player has ten or more poison counters, he or she loses the game the next time a player
would receive priority. (This is a state-based action. See rule 704.)
104.3e An effect may state that a player loses the game.
104.3f If a player would both win and lose the game simultaneously, he or she loses the game.
104.3g In a multiplayer game between teams, a team loses the game if all players on that team have
    lost the game.
104.3h In a multiplayer game, an effect that states that a player wins the game instead causes all of
that player’s opponents to lose the game. (This may not cause the game to end if the limited
range of influence option is being used; see rule 801.)
104.3i In an Emperor game, a team loses the game if its emperor loses the game. (See rule 809.5.)
104.3j In a Commander game, a player that’s been dealt 21 or more combat damage by the same
commander over the course of the game loses the game. (This is a state-based action. See rule
    704. Also see rule 903.14.)
104.3k In a tournament, a player may lose the game as a result of a penalty given by a judge. See
    rule 100.6.

The card doesn't do anything besides give your opponent a massive lifeswing and the ability to kill your permanents by swinging, and stop alternate win-conditions. Hell, it doesn't even stop alternate win-conditions in multiplayer due to 104.3h.

Form of Lich doesn't do anything but make you lose life and sacrifice permanents, at least the way gumOnShoe has it- it doesn't actually prevent anyone from LOSING. You can still kill the player with Form of Lich out, and then Form will leave play and he'll win anyway. All of the incarnations in this thread don't stop poison or Door to Nothingness.

@Mooky: Yes, if you place a -1/-1 counter on the creature with undying without causing it to die instantly, or elsewise remove the +1/+1 counter.

I would call it Unstable Ooze if it had Undying as well, so that it switches between 2/2 and 3/3.

Then again, that's probably WAY too good.

White mana in your mana pool doesn't empty as steps and phases end.
At the end of each phase, gain 1 life for each white mana in your mana pool.

    Or sommat.
